@@deonax nah, I find Co driver was fine in DR. Especially with headphones on. Also, you can change it in the settings. Just turn everything down a bit but keep Co driver at 100

@@mountjoy23 Colin mcrae 2 has crazy exhaust sounds it's constantly firing a lot, I loved it. Dirt series in my Z5500 digital at high volume sounds like I'm watching real rally when playing from exterior camera. Here the exhaust explosions are pretty loud bang on spot.

I'll wait till I've played it myself to make serious judgements about the physics. Too many variables re assists, control schemes etc. For now the best info I have in terms of people who've played it and aren't Codemasters-affiliated is Jimmy Broadbent's first impressions video, wherein he says the tarmac physics are slightly but not much better than the first game, and the loose surfaces are significantly improved. So I'm reasonably optimistic overall.

they used the same physics as rally. and rally was the most fun and “realistic” for what it’s worth. They probably added an arcade mode like dirt 4. But dirt 4 whatever you picked it was arcade physics

Game looks and sounds amazing. And great run. My one gripe is just I hope in the future they can get the handling model a bit better. Car just looks a bit to grippy for such wet conditions. Still looks amazing outside of that minor complaint. ^^

I never said you "Just spin off". But from driving my own personal car in the wet if you get on the gas hard yes your car does break traction and you do have to catch it. If not its quite easy to spin out. I don't expect the game to just always be spinning out but I'm saying is that from playing Dirt Rally before the cars do tend to be a bit to grippy in certain road conditions. Thats all.

I'll be getting this, but I hope there are at least some uneven surfaces and jumps like in Greece and Finland in Dirt Rally 1. Purely driving to brake and turn will get boring very fast. Also very sad about no VR - I hope they add it later.

Car doesn't seem to react much to his throttle input, it just travels foward at a consistent rate. If you were driving that thing in real life you would be thrown backwards in your seat every gear shift, the camera should move and lurch to give this effect but it just sits still as though you are riding a bicycle...

Visually I liked rally 1 more although this still obviously looks nice. The sound department is just as good and the UI seems to have gotten an improvement. Hopefully now we can see leader boards from the god damn menu unlike D:Rally 1 where you had to go ingame and quit the race and hopefully the steam workshop is integrated with the game so you dont have to close the game browse , download and open it up again

Aw man, i still miss what dirt 3 did where you can actually see other drivers taking on the stage. It just feels like the track is much more lively. I mean i know in some ways it can interfere with your run but still it adds some detail to how a proper rally stage is suppose to feel like. Cuz Dirt 4 just felt like i was doing a solo run but in dirt 3 i can do impromptu races with other drivers. But it looks like its gonna be the same thing here which is a bit of a shame. Idk its my personal opinion, still getting the game tho. And gt4 cars on rally?? Hah, whatever next, tho i may do some research on that discipline

Man sieht am Fahrverhalten dass es nicht an Dirt Rally 1 ran kommt, es ist ne kleine Verbesserung gegenüber Dirt 4, aber mehr nicht. ich bin trotzdem sehr gespannt. hui. naja. bisher das unterwältigendste Video das ich von Dirt Rally 2.0 gesehen habe. Die Loose Surface Videos wirken viel besser. Reflektionen der nassen Straße sind zu stark/hell/merkwürdig... rein optisch kann ich mir auf das Fahrverhalten auch keinen Reim machen, vor allem bei der nassen Fahrbahn. Ich würde ein komplett anderes Fahrverhalten erwarten als das was ich hier sehe.

Not a chance. You can see the reflections unnaturally popping in and out of view as the perspective changes, it's just your standard screen space reflections.

The driving just looks off. The way the car sort of "floats" on the surface looks off-putting. On loose surfaces that would be accurate but on tarmac it's incredibly unrealistic unless the tire pressures are set super low. Hopefully the loose surface physics are better since that's what codemasters are good at.
