Honda needs to make two strokes again but update them too. In my opinion they always had the coolest bikes in that era.

Man that'd be so awesome if Honda came back out with the two-strokes! I just got back into two strokes with my KTM and I love it! Honda would get so much business if they made trail based two strokes and track-based! My first two bikes were CR125 then CR250. This KTM makes me feel like a kid again!

Looks and sounds like a monster! I love it! Looks like a fun machine that can produce results in about every offroad facet - just needs a little added technology/upgraded components and the bike truly could ride anywhere at anytime! If SLR Honda could do it with the 2017-2020 CRF450RX, everyone certainly can tinker with this platform a little to get it to perform as a competitive Hare Scramble, Enduro, GP, and even MX & SX. It is a very tunable and thoroughly refined race-ready machine that wants to scream victory at every twist of the throttle! Very cool! Problem is that I love every manufacturer's big bore 4 strokes these days - except for anything Chinese that replicate everyone else's hard work, design, and patented technology for offroad motorcycling!!! So when it is time to buy a 4 stroke it will be so hard to choose...TM Racing, Husqvarna, KTM, Beta, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, maybe even make an offroad RMZ-450 since the power spread is so usable???Until then I'll just keep riding my TM Racing 300 2 stroke, and save some money. In my heart I want a TM Racing MX450FI Twin with carbon intake system and ohlin's shock, but it will cost around 15k...is it worth it? Oh yes it is! Is the wait to ride a big bore 4 stroke worth it?? That's what I'm trying to decide now cause these 2019+ TMs are serious business! And if you made it this far in listening, have a wonderful day and ride safe! May you have the 2 stroke(s) and 4 stroke(s) of your dreams!!!!!

Im looking at the 2022 model CRF 450RX here in the UK. Already a fleet of CRF 300L ordered for the new Trail Riding side to our business. LOVE this video.

If that rider was Jonny Walker, I would have bought it. Revised my comment - 25.6.21 - because I already have a crf, and know how great these are, I just placed an order for the 2022 rx, cannot wait to get it.

How much of a power difference is there between this bike and the crf450X ? I know the X is a little milder but is there a big power difference or just a little?
@jonathondavis1703 жыл бұрын
I keep seeing this posted on different comment sections for Hondas so I guess I shall finally bite... In max Hp there is about a 19Hp difference/gap, however, the wide ratio gearing of the X has a much higher top speed. So in terms of power built for each models intended purpose, both engines appear quite appropriately engineered. I believe Klinger actually tested the 450X in the off-road 450cc shootout as well, and said both platform's QUALITY of power was very much the same in performance - which is outstanding if you've ever had the chance to test ride either or both! Also be aware that there is a beast, within the beast, that takes a wallet full of blue collar dollars to unlock on the CRF450X...$2500 US dollars to be exact, @ none other than the amazing, San Diego Powerhouse that gives the 2019+ Honda CRF450X and CRF450L & RL an added 19Hp, to match the MONSTER WIDE-RATIO transmission, with the MONSTER engine that has been sleeping peacefully below since you purchased the bike off the dealership's floor! Probably too much info, but feel free to look more up at your nearest search engine as people swap the stock parts for better aftermarket parts like cams, mapping, exhaust etc. lol Hope that helps, brother! Take care, and ride safe. Maybe we'll both be lucky enough to purchase one of the Honda 450 offroad platforms in the next couple years. I'll be getting my skill and fitness higher until then, cause these Honda 450s are no joke!!! 👌 They will eat you for lunch if you aren't prepared...so many RXs and Xs get traded back in all the time because people think that both are okay for your first bike - turns out most buy a smaller bore two stroke after finding out that they are not cuddly, loving, friendly natured or docile! It takes a MACHINE to man the MACHINE, ya dig? haha

@gpaull23 жыл бұрын
@@tieoneon1614 - The X is not as up to date if I’m not mistaken. Wasn’t the previous version of the X about 10 years between updates? With European brands you can have the latest technology with ALL of the current off-road niceties. I shouldn’t need to decide if I need to gear for speed or 1st gear technical obstacles when doing off-road races or riding....and I don’t have to with other brands. I’m far from the only one with this complaint about the Japanese off-road race bikes. They half assed them in an attempt to steal some market share instead of putting effort in and doing it right.

@@gpaull2 Actually, the new X and L came out in 2019 with a few minor revisions updated on the 2021 models - and it is the platform DESTROYING everyone at Dakar & Baja. It's heavy, however, I believe they engineered it really well because you want some weight for durability and for stability at high speeds...which Honda obviously nailed since the 450X platforms keep outshining the competition almost every single year in rally racing. When I test rode the bike, it felt a little lengthy and cumbersome, but somehow still retains it's Honda agility and handling characteristics for feeling planted, yet turns with just minimal input. Go check it out, as it is a pretty neat engine and chassis design with every dimension and angle you can view high quality engineering and production all around the bike. I really love seeing all these manufacturers producing technologically-advanced offroad motorcycles these days. Everyone is setting the bar so high that the unfortunate part is that most people can only afford a couple of bikes, and those two bikes will be usually be purchased about two years apart, at the very least. Fortunately, most bikes nowadays are so nice that you really can get away with having one or two bikes for every type of riding a person will want to do or has available to them in their area.

The bike would be sweet if it had a wide ratio gearbox. That close ratio gearbox doesn't work well for us desert racers.

Get the new 450X and add a San Diego Power House engine power kit, and it is faster than this bike in every single way from wide ratio transmission to high torque and HP output. That kit gives about 20hp I believe because of a vortex ECU, cams, intakes, and exhaust...and I believe more. Very cool desert option. AJP PR7, SWM RS500R & AJP SPR 510R EN are also awesome desert racers, as are Yamaha YZ450FX and WR450F are also contenders too! Then you have the Austrian big 3 that have a plethora of options...that AJP PR7 looks awesome to own as it comes standard as a race rally bike in the US for only $10,100!!! 60HP+ with the performance kit and a Thork racing map in the UK, and it comes with a Samsung tablet and ports for gadgets and gizmos. Additionally has space for a road book/road map above the enduro computer and 8in Samsung outdoor tablet. Very cool piece of kit if you haven't checked them out! Made by hand in Portugal.
