It would very often actually be longer if people had LESS fun...so that's pretty much a self-fulfilling prophecy. That kind of an accident could only ever happen specifically because he was "having fun", i.e. driving a rally car (competitively).

What a shame, he was such a charismatic guy. I still wonder what exactly caused crash. After Adrien Fourmaux rolled down a cliff at Monte in 22, I was convinced the safety cells were pretty much indestructible.

The conditions were slippery and Breen slid off the road. Unfortunately he happened to collide with a wooden fence that intruded into the cabin through the driver's side window. According to Jari-Matti Latvala the speed during the collision was only 33 kilometers per hour. So really bad luck...
