Rally competitors will always try to keep going, they are pretty good at emergency repairs. Always have been from the early pioneering days. That’s what is great, not just highly paid professionals but willing to get their hands very dirty. Brilliant sport.

They're built that way. They crumple to absorb impact energy. Yes, the cars look very banged up and they are losing body panels, but it's the cars absorbing the impact, not the crew.

@@bhuplaysguitar No it's worse, it's a bespoke chassis that's supposed to be designed to endure the violet rigors of rally racing and yet the Hyundai's are still more prone to failure and unreliability. Will check after the Safari Rally is done and see how many issues the Toyota's have versus the i20.

​@@AKK5Iall cars with a puncture suffer similar damage if at you've been watching WRC since 2013. Body panels are carbon fibre ddue to weight reduction. Long as the dampers weren't damaged...that was expected the moment he continued to drive with the puncture
