Hi Rado! I just wanted to give you a tip to be faster and to get less tired. The tip is that you DONT need to use the clutch to shift, the only purpose of the clutch in dirt bikes is to control the power, not to shift. DIRT BIKES ARE MADE TO BE SHIFTED WITHOUT CLUTCH. I learned that from a pro racer. So I think you should try it. It makes you faster and your hands get less tired. Hope you use this trick!
@dirtniron6 жыл бұрын
thanks for the tip Philippe. Sometimes I shift without it when I need to shift fast, specially when downshifting. Majority of the times I pull the clutch in just a bit, one finger all the time.. most clutch use is to control the bike in the turns and up-down hills.. I also got the tip from pro racer, Sebastian Tortelli, maybe you know him, he is french guy. He said to use it lightly when shifting.. My opinion is that its safer to use it a bit when you shift in high rmp, in low rpm its fine to skip it. Thats how I do it, might not be the greatest way but so far worked for me fine. Thanks again for contribution man!

liking all ur vids , I've had my 07 wr450 for over a year now and just learning as to what mods have been done on it. it appears to already have AIS removed, snorkel air box, and aftermarket exhaust . however not completely certain that mods such as grey-wire, O-ring or throttle stop screw have been done. I'd imagine the jetting kit would be installed due to the aftermarket exhaust it has. guy I bought from said previous owner did "some" work on it. it runs good currently but aside from dismantling it how can I tell ? ps; not trying to give away ur location but I live in San Diego , are you North of SD ? ( looks very familiar. lastly: someone mention a YZ exhaust cam mod' have you looked into this yet ? thx and appreciate you bro
@dirtniron6 жыл бұрын
you can know about throttle stop by the movement you have on your throttle. compare it to some other bikes, or check my video it shows throttle opening with small throttle stop. As for the oring, you need to open it to see. I know for AF bikes you need to remove the shock to get to the carburetor.. I live in temecula are, you know the area well ;)
@sambumanglag64326 жыл бұрын
Rado' I did see ur video and mine does appear to have an equal amount of throttle range to yours, also forgot to mention that I did install a quick-turn throttle tube from G2 a few weeks ago which also helped. Rado, running the bike on the lean side due to cold weather actualy increases power.
@dirtniron6 жыл бұрын
There is a little bit of hesitation when the bike runs too lean. I had to play with needle, got richer one and the hesitation disappeared. I guess if you run little bit too rich then cold weather will increase power, but when you are spot on or little bit on lean side then cold weather would cause that lean hesitation.. hope that makes sense.
