It's always great when Chris and Mike collaborate. BTW, a metric ton is 1000 kilograms or almost 2205 pounds.
@Potoum2 жыл бұрын
The US use metric ton, majority just don't know for what. For example boat, even the military one, are weight using the metric ton. I dunno about plane but I presume it's the same thing, especially if they fly international(outside of US). Grain(farm), for international commerce when shipped are weight using the metric ton also.

That is what was said in the video !!!! DUUUUUHH!!!!!!!!
@nick216142 жыл бұрын
@@Potoum The military uses metric for NATO. The international flying community uses US standard units although for weight that is probably company specific so there will be both used. Only china and russia use meters instead of feet.

These Chris vs Mike videos always make me smile, because Mike is ultra competitive, but Chris is always the man with a plan. He knows how he is going to maximise the load before he climbs in the loader. I can remember Chris saying in previous videos that he loads from the back, because that creates a barrier to hold more load dumped in the front. This looked to be what was happening till we saw the other angle from the top of the heap, which appeared to show some space at the front, but it was still a lot less space than Mike left. The equipment was super impressive, and I would say Volvo will be happy because a lot of operators must watch Chris and Mike's channels.

The 180s are a good thing, but man, have I spent some hours in L120Fs 😁👌 Our mining company has them in our fleet all over Australia, carrying man-baskets, for jib work, forks and bucket work. They are an amazingly reliable piece of gear 👌
@V4zz332 жыл бұрын
The real reliability depends on the operators. We have 5 L220s, and some had a rough life because of the negligence of the operators.:(( Fun little machines, but I prefer the 350 and the 🐱 988, because they are a lot more stable thus provide a better ride on our awful roads at our asphalt recycling plant.

A short ton is less than a (long or UK) ton or a metric tonne. UK ton is 2240 lbs because we have 112lbs to a hundredweight. American weights come up short just like the gallon is less than UK because we have 20 fl oz to a pint vs 16.

Chris, the cables on John's A30D need to be tightened up to be like the ones on this truck, notice how there is little slack in them and the gate lifts almost immediately when you raised the bed and the gate is much higher at full lift. If you do that to John's truck it will work out much better for you loading and unloading.
