Funny thing is that you can only get real snus in Sweden. The EU has illegalized selling snus in every EU country aside from Sweden, due to it being cancerous even though they don't have any real evidence to back their claims of how bad it actually is.

That is not true. Some are wrapped, some are airbrushed. Wrapping has gained popularity over the past few years since it's much faster (and cheaper). Of course a good airbrush art has way more "depth" than just a vinyl wrap.

Nah, you do not know Omars well. Their ratings are mesured differently. If you download one of their charts you will see. Just to give you idea. Omars 120 ton wrecker has similar lift capability as american (Miller) 50 ton wrecker. I like our european wreckers and rotators..but americans are light years ahead in rotators. Miller 100 ton rotator can lift way more then Omars 140 ton, and has smaller footprint. Omars has really weird way to mesure lift. Downlod one of their charts...you will be shocked. 😂

Drove one in Europe for a little while. They should make them as the standard for those of us that are away all week. Personally I'm a Volvo FH man, but yeah that space in the Longline was fantastic, although they could have utilised it a lot more as there is enough room to put everything in there that you need from a kitchen to storage etc. so why not use it. I know some who have and when you do it properly you can get everthing in from shower to washing machine and so on, especially if you use the front upper bunk layout and get rid of the rear one. Anyway still a lovely experience at the time.

That is what insular markets does. There are benefits from it too, but one very, very common problem is that there is no need to keep innovating. It was the same in Soviet Union too, not having competition from abroad meant that you could sell the same car for 20 years. For sure that was more extreme state controlled capitalism but.. creating insular markets IS state controlled capitalism too. Some of it can be a good thing, it ensure you keep basic production capabilities but it should never be so protected that larger gaps in technology doesn't force national companies to keep up with the competition. Adding tariffs, enacting taxes to imported.. actually does work the best as it can be controlled better; if competition abroad offers you 200% with 150% price, people are going to choose that option. US markets are a bit too insular, there is also stupid amounts of nationalism involved... Some of it is beneficial but when it turns to sort of religious thing, or is considered unpatriotic to buy imported stuff even when your own is utter shite. Isolating yourself from the outside world does not pay off in the long run. US passenger cars in the 80s and 90s were MILES off the competition, because the insular markets didn't encourage innovation.

Everyone focuses on some things, not all. America has best technology, just in other sectors like aviation, military and IT. Civil infrastructure and road (and railroad) transport just happens to not be prioritized like other places. Even technologically backwards Russia makes the baddest icebreakers out there simply because of their geography.

They are a fuckton more in price than most American trucks I think. A Scania semi with a V8 and a few options can go to 250K. A rigid chassis will go to 300K.

The prices would be ridiculous unless they built a factory in the US / Canada. Yes, maybe they would sell a few dozen trucks a year but it wouldn't be worth it for the company and then the part supply / servicing would become an issue as well.

I tell you what, they are worth it! We have a lot of them over here in Australia and if they can handle the Australian conditions, then there's no problems for the US.

Yeah @Peter-or8oc Lamborgini actually started making tractors long before they made their first car, they started building tractors back in 1947-48 just about one a week and a couple of years later they building about 200 a year and from there it just when up with higher numbers and newer models every year, Then after a dispute with Enzo Ferrari over a bad clutch in one of Mr. Lamborgini's Ferrari'er, a Ferrari 250 GT, he ended up starting his own car company in 1963, and the first Lamborgini prototype was built, the Lamborgini 350 GTV, with his own V12 engine with about 270 hp and a ZF 5 speed gearbox, a forerunner to the first production model, the 350 GT (V12, 280hp, 5-speed ZF) And besides the tractors and cars, Mr Ferruccio Lamborgini also produces air conditioner and dabbled in wine making too

24:55 that is common thing from late 80s, now days no one wants large dolly that does not have turning axles. It turns automaticly in normal drive, depending on speed, the higher the speed it turns less. In tight spaces it turns with remote control, whole truck and trailer can basically go sideways, or turn on a "dime". Faymonville, Goldhofer, Schwartzmuller and Cardi are some to mention. Mammoet builds special and fancy stuff like modular trailers.

Hi Bruce, I just wanted to tell you that Volvo haven't had any trucks in my time with a V8, all the "big ones" are i6 engines And about that old T-142, that would had to have started out as a V8 otherwise Scania wouldn't have named it T-142, the T shows it a hooded model, the 14 shows it have a V8 14 liters engine, and 2 shows it a 2. series [3. generation] model I remember it all from back when I was young and trucking all over Europe and half of the middle east, because I have driven them all, from 1. generation to 5. generation models And back in the eighties I had my longest trip in one of those, it was in a 2. generation [1. series] a Scania 141, which at that time already had about 850.000 km on the clock, I was loading Electrical parts at ASEA AB in Vesterås, Sweden, and about 3 weeks later after a trip through the iron curtain and on through Turkey, Syria, Jordan and finally Saudi Arabia, the only thing you have to remember in Saudi, is when you're coming from Jeddah headed toward Mekka, you really have to remember driving of the exit ramp before Mekka, because as a non-muslim you aren't allowed into Mekka because they have police with machine guns posted about 200 meters after that exit ramp 🤔 😅 After that I unloaded at a powerplant in a city called Abha in Southern part of Saudi Arabia, about 150 km from the border into Yemen, after I had unloaded I then drove 1865 km with in the next 24 hours (I didn'tget tiredbefore the next day when it got dark again 😏), but all in all I had to drive about 5.000 km and had 5 border crossing in total before ending up in a Town called Roman, in Romania to get a load home to Denmark, which I later unloaded in the free port of Copenhagen, because my load of cargo had to go on by ship to the United States of America, because at that time the company in USA couldn't bye it directly from Romania 😉
