Me and my friends made a trap base that basically just had a shit ton of strobe lights setup behind the fake door and whenever someone came in they were virtually blind but we could see them just fine, oh also smoke machines, eventually shit got really laggy so we went for a lag trap, the second the door would open you would lose about 80% of your fps making it extremely easy to catch people off gaurd

seeing people enjoy rust again is really nice tbf. love the vid, and holy shit did it pop off for you XD i used to build a lot of trap bases, should look into a tesla coil trap base with similar functionality to the wire and turrets. it prevents you from jumping and does insanely high damage the more charge it has. i usually use these in airlocks with sensors and door closers to trap them in the airlock and beam their health down and its basically the great anti-door camp strat

I love the things you can do with the electrical wires. I've made faux doors with it, so when someone would destroy my door, they look at a solid black wall in front of them and covered pits on trap bases. Now that you can use different colors, those cheeky tricks still confuse people today.

Someone else has finally figured out the power of wires to block sightlines :) A year or two back I used to be the “mad scientist” of my clan for doing similar stuff. If you want to really cheat, you can use this for online defense by putting a spotlight behind it, and then you can see shadows thru the wall of wires while being behind softcover and a bit of hardcover if you work for it
