This video is crazy, Just switch to bishop's opening as its lead to the same position 80% of the game. Now I know this is worth learning and aggressive enough to be my main weapon

You have to find someone willing to play the Italian Game and its variants. MOST players avoid ALL of this nonsense by responding 1. ... c5, or the trendier Scandinavian. But opening with 1. e4 and posting your light-squared Bishop on c4 is generally a good, active opening, generally.

I fully understand and agree with those people who are calling this the best chess channel on YT. With a mastery of tricks like this, it seems reasonable to me that it should be possible to win many games against many players with a rating of between 1800 and 2200. How high a rating of my opponent do you think my mastering of tricks like this, will result in my being able to win many games against many players? Of course mastering tricks like this takes time, but it also takes a lot of time learning to always make the "best" move against even one chess opening - not to mention the fact that what is the "best" move keeps changing. My goal is to have fun playing chess. My goal is not to achieve a very very high rating, and my goal is not to win every game I play.

Other than the fact that you have to pay close attention, because "f6" and "h6" sound the same and a few other issues with vowel sounds and minor errors such as that, I agree. I love the pithy sayings (BAM!) and humor. I also really like the fact that he doesn't intrude himself on the screen. All the other channels put their distracting faces in the corner of the screen, instead of just filling the screen with the board, like GJ does. Those other channels are like a guy leaning over the board, getting in your face, and saying "See? See?" and I want to say "I COULD see if you'd get out of my space and let me see the damn board!"

I suppose ...Qxe8 Qb3+ Ka6 and now the point: gxh8=Q. Black queen is overloaded, guarding mate-threat at b5 and defending h8 promotion.

@@kuronity After that black's best move would then be Bd7, followed by Qxe8, Bxe8, Nd5. White's position is then overwhelming and has got the queen for 2 minor pieces, and will soon gain more material or if Bb6 then white gets a nice checkmate

Bishops opening has so many trap. e4-e5 2.Bc4 the only way to avoid major traps or just aggressive check. It's like a spiderweb. 1400 and under fall for it. Really is one move to stop a major tempo. This guy here is amazing. This is very aggressive high rated positions. This is only of those videos where I will watch over and over again. This play is out of this world. Way past my rating, but if I can remember.......... How is this man?

At 5.51 black can play Qc6.
@johnobrienii1156
@johnobrienii1156 3 жыл бұрын
If Qc6, continue Qg7 anyway attacking the Rook. Rf8 only move to save it. Nf6+ forces Black King to a dark square. After Ke7 (only move not abandoning Rook) White plays Nxh7+ and will win the Rook back on the next move with the Queen. As noted, however, it's not just about winning the piece back as mate should follow shortly.

White has the advantage even after Qh4+. There are a lot of variations but if played correctly then all of them give an advantage by at least one or two pawns, but black has some weird moves to make so white would probably be up by at least a minor piece.

Is it me or is there alot of mistakes for the white player. Especially 6:11 white should just use the light square bishop and give a check on the queen and 7:32 wtf. Black can just take the bishop.
@btmillion2813
@btmillion2813 5 жыл бұрын
You might’ve been right about 6:11, but I’m not sure. For 7:32, it doesn’t matter which one takes it. The point is the bishop vacated the b5 square for the queen. For Qb3+ followed by Qb5++ to happen

Winning the king is better than winning the queen. Bishop can still win queen on the next moves due to fact that if black takes the knight he gets mated, as shown.
@johnobrienii1156
@johnobrienii1156 3 жыл бұрын
At 6:11, it would appear the royal fork is valid. Black takes Knight with King and White wins the Queen. Black's Rook is still hanging and White probably has a mate in the works. At 7:32, he shows what happens if Rxe8. Then Qb3+ leads to mate. He says either capture works the same. Let's see. If Qxe8 and Qb3+, then Ka5 seems like the best try...but after gxh8=Q, Black must either allow White's new Queen to live, or capture it and give up mate. Not great prospects regardless.
