Absolutely amazing! I just switched from the Two Knights Defence (Bogoljubow Variation) to the Max Lange Attack and it's really fascinating how many traps are hidden in this attack! I really like your videos and already subscribed them. Can you please show how to reach the Max Lange Attack from other openings? Like the Petroff or the anything else?

I play the scotch gambit. I am glad that I have seen this video because I am sure that many of the variations overlap and I wasn't aware of some of those amazing tactics!. Thank you very much for posting - you have enriched my opening repertoire in just 16 minutes :)

This is a good line to know if one plays Scotch Gambit like I do. Actually been playing Scotch Gambit as my main opening with white. Been mainly playing lines suggested by Zdindzi but lately been trying to variate more with it so this and Morphy attack and Urusov Gambit are good to know so that one can try tricks with move orders.

Your videos are good and very usefull. But you have to give more atention to the best moves from both sides: not only how to win after a mistake. For example: you said, after 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.d4 that Nxe4 is bad, because after 5.dxe5 Bc5?? white have a piece. Okey. But black is not force: 5...Nc5 6.Qd5 Ne6 and next 7....d6 and black are equal. This is know as the "positional refutation" of the Max Lange atack and is one of the best options for black. I realy enjoy this series in particular: i´m trying a repertory based in Bc4 and d4 gambit: with very good result. Thanks.

Hey GJ, I really appreciate your tutorials and started using Colorado gambit recently. I was wondering if you could do a king's gambit series. It's one of my favorite openings but I've been struggling lately with this opening. I know a lot of people say that this opening is a bust, but it's a fun opening with the concept of kill or be killed. Thanks.

A lot of basic stuff I should've learned, but too many people knew too much about the open game, and it was too sharp, with too many tactics; whereas, I just had a good, basic positional grasp. So 1. ... c5 as Black and 1. d4 as White and I skipped a ton of theory, discovering chess, later in life and playing in tournaments.

Hi again. I met another defuse i cant solve.... After main line: 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Nf6 4. d4 exd4 5. O-O Bc5 6. e5 Ng4 If I go 7. Bf4 black can respond with d5, kicking the bishop. What to do now? 1) If I go 8. exd6 black can recapture with either bishop or pawn. If he chooses bishop, i must trade bishops or move my black bishop. If i trade, on 9. bxd6, he can recapture with qxd6 and on 10. h3 he has space for knight on e5... :(( 2) If I go 8. Bb3 black goes f6, but now your beautiful response with 9. Re1 doesnt work, because the pawn on d5 is blocking our bishop preventing the castling, which he will do and solve the problem. x( So... what to do after 7. Bf4 d5 ?

also another error in the video is the suggestion on the white move 9..qd6, then best move for white is not 10. Ne5 as you suggest to play. 10. Ne5 is met with qe5 and leads to hardly any advantage for white may even lose for white. So in response to a wrongful 9..qd6 the correct move for white is 10. fxg7 followed by 10 ...rg8 followed by 11. rxe6 and when 11...fxe6, then 12. qh5 kd7 13. ne4 nabbing the piece.

But as I just saw in the very last minute of the vid, he suggests a line where white can force a draw: Kf3 Qd5, fxg7 [Rg8], afterwards repeat Kf6 Qd6 But this Rg8 move is actually inaccurate, I would play Bg4, which looks really sharp and complicated but actually leads very quick to an endgame where black should have better chances. If gxh8, than Rxh8. If a random move like a3, nearly all moves are winning like ke5 or Rg8 and youve got a huge attack. If sth like Bf4, then f5 winning one of the Kinghts, and if kf6 than you will get Qxf3 kxg4, Qxd1, Rxd1 and Rg8 winning white knight. In the end of this line black has two pieces and a pawn against a rook and should be winning

But Gunjan Sir, at 11:10, if 10...Qd7 11. Ne4! Bd6 12. fxg7 Rg8 13. Nf6+ is a royal fork ! & if 10...Qd6 11. Nxe6 fxe6 12. fxg7 Rg8 13. Qh5+ Kd8 14. Ne4 wins piece in both variations which is in my opinion stronger than 11. Nxe6

At 9:46 instead of Ne4 (which gives Black the opportunity to play Qe5) White can get a clearly winning position with Rxe6!. This is eventually followed by fxg7 and Qh5 and Black is crushed immediately.
