I got hired at this chain when i was just a teenager and quit the same day! never came back nor ate at this chain afterwards. It disgusted me to see what i did. The way i grew up and my conscious could not serve anyone food knowing what i did. When i worked my season jobs at ritas waterice, i didn't play about sanitizing nor cleaning. We would have mystery shoppers and inspections and we passed every time! So when we closed for the season, i never imagined seeing such filth at another eatery. The managers were just used to it and i couldn't take it. Each time i offered to help clean the icecream machine i was just told "oh it's ok you don't have to do that just leave it" was beyond me. Makes you think how people live at home

I have a question. After the "ordered clean up" and the "reinspection", do they think these restaurants will magically start practicing good hygiene???? My personal opinion is they might straighten up for about a week or 2, but those careless and unsanitary habits are gonna resurface, soon after. I work in a restaurant environment. When I lived in Korea, it was normal to see your half cooked chicken sitting in the windowsill covered in flies. I ate it and never got sick. In their defense, it seems like they may not be malicious here. @ 2:22 it's clear that they have recently been cited for "erecting a canopy or roof without permit. Is it possible this would have been a canopy for the "unapproved outdoor kitchen" which was not protected from environmental contamination as mentioned before? This is the type of red tape and legal jargon that can make honest people look worse than they are.
