M of H recipients usually did something heroic to save the lives if his fellows troops. I saw a M of H Medal awarded to a Cherokee ( WWII) on display in the museum of the Eastern Band Cherokee on the Qualla Boundary, Swain County, Western North Carolina. I served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. I was prideful and grateful to be part of such a magnificent organization. Even today, when I go to the V.A. medical clinic, being among other veterans evoke the feeling of pride and sense of belonging to a very special group of people. The military instilled in me, a sense of tolerance, patience and discipline that I will forever be thankful for. Biden never served, he actually skated on Service by declaring he had Childhood Asthma and was ineligible; Clinton skated his Service because the family had friends in Recruitment that slowed his Induction notice and allowed him to use his College deferment.
