Good to see the honour guard on parade at the start. Pristine kit, weapons shouldered and the lads looking the biz from the off with the stahlhelmed dismount following on equally "hard" to view, as are the pair riding point on Tommy the Tank Engine too(😈). No wonder the man's got the field glasses out at 0:24 coz I need to see all of that in close-up too J!!!! 0:47, and that is some booze-up The Goonz have planned for going by the crates being manhandled from the choo-choo but they've earned it given this gallant display. 0:59, and it's a headshot and the Peaky Blinder has his brains spattered over The Big Numpty's phizog - the laundry bill goes straight to his widow forthwith and his wages are docked too, posthumously of course 😁! 1:06. and The Tossers start the rout of The Greys with some handy lobs into the ranks and it's decimation time already, with the results particularly satisfying at 1:11, bottom right. It's all hands to the pumps (what a sight that is as the camo'd Dozen clamber over that wall fella!) and that has to be one of my all-time favourite toss-offs at 1:15, and then he's back down on his haunches spraying his load (I bet he is!) at 1:16. What a fucking hero mate! Mind you, 1:17 is another tosser supreme and the fall-out here is devastating. 1:15 is at it again at 1:22 and how fucking cool is the response from The Dozen at 1:23, looking sharp as fuck in the camo, spraying their arc of death on the run and hitting the deck with aplomb, hard-shaft in the mucky stuff as the action intensifies. It's a fight to the death here for sure! 1:25, and my hero is at it again, but I fear he's running his luck J. There's only so many times you can get away with this against The Dozen! Yeeehaaahhhhh, it's Baker from 'Chips' looking better than ever on the spray at 1:26 and that is one fine toss-off from behind at 1:36, and look at those fuckers fly (that is fucking brilliant btw!!!). Ah, the heavy weaponry is getting put to good use at 1:40. It would be such a shame to see THAT particular weapon miss out on all the fun. I fucking love the aircrew at 1:43 mate (this pair are always my favourite in this one, especially the lad on the right) but 1:45 is having none of their shit and he machine guns the pair of them with glee (check the pearly whites as he riddles the fuckers to hell!) and doesn't my lad look hot as fuck as he spreads his body wide, throws his arms in the air and arches back to the deck, chest and belly stitched with smg bullets in rapid-fire time. No more flying for you matey! You should never bunch-up in combat but at least the lads are down on the deck and they're doing very nicely at this point to be fair, evidenced by that forward flop and backwards arch at 1:49 as two more Goonz are drilled in style. Baker is now tossing-off at 1:51 and how is that for a bulls-eye - Ponch will be oh-so jealous mate (but who gives a fuck, Baker was the man!). He's looking hot as hell as he unloads another blast of hot lead at 1:54 and he's in fine company too. But it looks like someone's nicked the booze shipment so there's no hanging about now. That Goon on the back of the truck is not giving up the schnapps easily but he's outnumbered 2:1 and his chest is shredded by the impacts of those MP40s and their loads. Fuck, his jerks are magnificent here mate, a real "hard" watch for yours truly 😈! Pause it at 2:03 and isn't that a vison to die for (Otto just did!) but damn, The Goonz have hit Baker's pal and The Dozen are down a man. The Man's out for revenge and another fine toss into the cabin of the truck and the driver's had enough of this shit - auf wiedersehen! 2:15, and the tosser supreme is still giving us a fine display but it surely can't last mate? He's setting off panic in the ranks at 2:17 though and it's time to move. At last the MG42 is put to some use and the results are most satisfying - eat lead mother fuckers!!! That is fucking beautiful at 2:19 (love that "oooooohhhhhh" as his body is riddled) and what an arch and exit from that lad J. 2:31, and another toss is delivered with devastating impact followed by more top machine gunning as the MG42 is turned on its one-time users. Poetic justice I think! Listen to that yell at 2:39 (love it!) and two more poster boys are riddled at 2:42 (so fucking hot mate!). Baker never looked better than he does at 2:43 but The Goonz at 2:48 are not impressed and want his number (don't we all?!), with 2:49 being especially keen to get the man for himself lol. 2:50, and another of The Dozen goes out in style (wearing that kit he couldn't be anything other than stylish though could he?!) and he's dead before he hits the deck. Good on by Marv for checking him over though coz that's a death stare to savour. That's a fine sight at 3:11 and they're too much for the MG42 slayer and it's lights out for him. But well done lad, you sent a good few of the fuckers to the rally grounds in the sky and then some! Love that view at 3:16/3:18 (!) and you'd think that sheer weight of numbers should tip the balance in favour of The Greys now wouldn't you? 3:24, and shrapnel fells another of The Dozen, closely followed by yet two more at 3:26 (it could end up The Half-Dozen here if they're not careful mate!). I fucking love that Goon on the spray at 3:31, all teeth gritted 'n' all as he sprints for'ard into the fray. 3:33, and YET ANOTHER of the lads takes a hot one, but he's a fighter this boy and he's not giving up yet, and thanks to his mates he'll live to fight another day. Love that view at 3:54 (I should get it framed!) and how's that for a "goodbye from us" at 3:57 as the cabin crew give the Goonz a send-off to savour?! The Fuhrer has not had a good day and he will not be pleased! 4:09, 4:10, 4:12 and 4:14 and it's not been without losses, may they Rest In Peace. But what a fight they gave us mate, and the results were heavily in favour of The Dozen! I've not watched this one for year and I'd forgotten just how many great kills there were in it! I remembered the fly-boys getting the soldaten treatment at 1:43 but there is so much more than just that to savour! I hope to do an edit of this one some time in the future too J but that won't be for a while so you've no worries on my stepping on your toes mate. I couldn't do it any better than this either, the definitive cut! Oh man, I have missed you J, and it is SO GOOD TO HAVE YOU BACK!!!!!!!

That is fkn priceless mate; you are the business!! Even though this is probably the weakest of the DD sequels, the combination of the match-fit Yank grunts taking to the field in that elite fleck 'n' grau loadout (I'd forgotten that on the flight over, a couple of 'em were scratching, sniffing and bellyaching that the kit was Goon-stunk lol) and the utter contempt they show for those crack Goon troopers makes for some rousing viewing eh?!! Yeah it's good to see those disciplined Goonz dismount before they form 'n' stiffen-up in front of the top brass, and that brace of Tommy Tankers standing proud up front of the Goon express are a solid reminder of IB of course. Keep a firm grip and take it steady at 0:24 - you don't want those bin's steaming up while you're Goon spotting m8 lol. And put your backs into at 0:47 lads; it's always good to see Goon muscle being worked hard lol. It's mission accomplished already at 0:59 (I'm sure I recognise that fella with the 'tache and the Gen's spatter on his face lol) but the Dozen lads are gagging to get their hands on the Goonz' crown jewels. I fkn love the opening shock 'n' awe tactics as Goon troopers are blown away and torn into with impunity by the lead Yank spraying on the hoof at 1:11, (yeah - it's hard to see how the Goonz will sustain their effort with that early evidence of heavy losses) and Goon hero 1:16 definitely makes his mark - leading from the front throughout with those text-book toss 'n' spray tactics. I thought of you a lot mate when I was sorting this - not least in respect of theDozen lads' weapons handling 'n' load distribution; your description of their potent display at 1:23 is stirring indeed. The grenade-based clear out of the Goon MG position is superb 1:36 aint it?! and I share your enthusiasm for the Bergmann MP35 treatment of the Goon fly-boys get at 1:45 (awwwf**k - that schadenfreude flash of white enamel as the fighting fit Sarge looses-off in their direction before he about faces and scythes down two more Infantry assault troopers is stunning). The ground is thick with spent Goonz as grenade blasts tear into more. CHiPsy was my ladhood hero in this one A, and I still rate his showing. The passage of play where him and his mate tackle the truck is defo a standout for me (them spraying on the jog - that Goon shock-absorbing the loads like a trooper [fuck yeah!!]. The Dozen lad mouthing off as he's raked in the back, before CHiPsy [muscling out his Goon kit like the best of 'em and airing his boots lol] mounts the cab and does his duty; Aaaargh!) as is the casual MG42 jog-by annihilation of multiple Goon troopers in their position at 2:21💪 (the sorry remains get to me too of course). The rattle of the '42 is mesmeric and 2:29 and 2:39 defo make all the right noises too; the Goonz are taking a fkn hammering - and by 2:41 (fkn ace ain't it?!!) with CHiPsy's help at 2:44 (and as he boards the plane lol) I'm really feelin' it for 'em m8. The battle-hardened Goonz still very much up for the fight though. Yeah 2:50 defo falls out in style (move over Marv while I check for vital signs lol) and when they silence the '42 at 3:13 they are in the ascendancy. All those Goon boots still on the ground as they push vorwärts from 3:18 are an astonishing sight at this late stage - and they just keep landing the blows; the 3:25 - 3:33 shrapnel-torn Dozen lads are dropping like Goonz!! At least Triggers survives and the top Sarge (like those 3:54 lads - declaring his assets to board the aircraft at 3:42 lol) goes back for him. The Goon losses were horrendous, but I salute their tenacity - and they scored some cracking consolations towards the end there. Their performance was probably enhanced by the lack of officers to f**k things up - so with the General dead and Big Numpty (lol) headed back to the bunker, at least they can jemmy open a few crates and get arseholed. I'm SO fkn stoked with your response m8 - and to remind you of this partly forgotten action . You've done me so proud here as usual. I can't overstate how much I covet, rate and lap-up your elite engagement and approval. I can't thank you enough A; you're pure fkn class mate - and a topmost lad to have on-side.

@@goontroopz9047 Honestly mate, I probably was of the same opinion (i.e. that it was the sickly child of the series) but this edit proves it has so much going for it and it's a good one on its very own merits. Plus we don't have Telly Savalas to put up with, so that was a bonus in itself (though Lee Marvin, much as I like him, was getting far too old for this kind of game by this point 😁). You're right about visions of IB coming into sharp focus on this one too and just the very mention of troopz "stiffening up" is enough to set my heart rate through the roof lol. They are magnificent ain't they mate? Boned-up, testosterone fuelled ladz in this kit with that sure-fire air of superiority writ all over them in their every actions, but then to see them brought down by their own hubris - well, it's a thing of beauty, an epic, and one that I will never tire of watching in all its glory! Yeah, who is the 'tached one J? NIC I know him as ("Numpty-in-Chief"!) and as ever some other poor schmuck takes a bullet for the bugger. 1:11 is a hero, spraying and dispatching on the run but 1:16 is probably MOTM in this one for me, bar the two flyboys offed at 1:45 (I still love their demise - classic mg'ing!) and he deserves to survive for his bravery (though I'm sure he will cop it sometime down the line, Garrison and his boys are no doubt out there somewhere with his name on a few of their bullets, or Chief's blade 😁). I'm touched you thought of me when cutting this one mate, but it does indeed have all my hallmarks spread all over it (Goonz, kit, weapons, mg'ings - I'm predictable in my likes 😁) and I was always going to slaver over this one. 1:36 is fucking brilliant J, and that highest leap through the stratosphere is one of the best I've seen on film, up there with the trampoline backwards flip over the bonnet of that truck in 'Kelly's Heroes' (I have an edit of that one up btw!). I'd have put this lad in the Olympics but as he is so obviously dead that is not going to happen! I fucking love that scene at 1:45 like I said mate. The expression on our man's face as he drills that pair by the plane, their gaping acceptance of their fate, arms flung in the air as legs buckle, is pure fucking perfection for me. Plus I do like the jumpsuits and caps 😈! There's no better sight than that of spent Goonz littering the playing field is there J, and this is one particular contest I am never going to deny going into extra time. Fuck it, penalties even (though we both know the Germans tend to win on those 😉)! 'Chips'-lad was my overriding memory of this one too J and he never looked better in any role as he did here, and the scene with the truck was definitely his highlight of many. I fucking love the way 2:21 clears the ground around him, bullets ripping into those Goonz whose bodies sag almost apologetically as the lifeblood is pumped out of them with accompanying satisfying grunts and moans. 2:41 is another personal highlight for sure, as is 2:50 , but sadly it's lights out for MG42 guy at 3:13 (but what a fight he put up eh?!). Boots boots boots at 3:18 (what a shame MG42 guy is out for good here as he'd have had the best seat in the house at this bit 😈). The Dozen have taken some casualties mate but what a toll they've taken on a nominally superior force. I love it, not least that view at 3:42 (pause it there!)! I don't mind the odd lower-ranking officers here and there mate (leutnants or the like) but yeah, it's good to see none of the top brass about to fuck things up, save for NIC 😁! The Goon Army have definitely earned their grog today, those that have survived that is (and there ain't many of them!)! I'm stoked you made so much of my initial salvo J as I was worried it was a little o.t.t. (and long - VERY LONG!) but I can't control myself when watching action like this. Pure boy's own 'Commando'/'Battle'/'Warlord' etc action in visual form that takes me right back to my childhood. Cracking stuff! I can't get enough of it or you J, so bring it on! I can take it!!!!

' all that is missing is those elite Goon troopers howling 'Himmel' as they're torn into by blast 'n' bullet eh?! lol. I'm so fkn stoked at your enthusiasm for it mate!! I cut most of the dialogue (and Marv) out - although it does add to the lads' own feel. I fkn love how they ain't fazed at all by the fact they are going to have to take on and butcher that entire section of well-drilled Goon troopz to get their hands on any loot - and you may remember a scene where all the dozen lads take a break from the battle to eff about on the back of that truck (playing the piano and writing off the antique cargo as f**king shite lol). The Goon troopz are just fkn fodder mate - and they dispatch them as such ( you nail it with your description of the Goonz as a 'nominally superior force' ) . And we know that the Goon-stunk kit they are playing in has been unceremoniously stripped from spent troopz lol. Your line here is superb A; "They are magnificent ain't they mate? Yeah - Goon Leutnants and NCO's are the business mate - but they were conspicuous by their absence once the scheiße starts hitting the fan lol I definitely thought of you throughout the process mate - and remember from past engagements you rated the treatment of the Goon fly boys, and salute you for picking that stalwart Goon hero 1:16 who took the fight to the enemy throughout as your MOTM (and that you've added him to the top of the GG hit list lol). I'll stick with CHiPsy probably. His part on the assault on the truck is outstanding and his load-letting before he boards the aircraft crowns the glory of that passage of play starting from 2:21 (Awwwmate - your analysis of that is the fkn business!! ..."bullets ripping into those Goonz whose bodies sag almost apologetically as the lifeblood is pumped out of them with accompanying satisfying grunts and moans" - that is my idea of war poetry!!!). As an Engländer I'm definitely not doing penalties (lol) but I'm defo up for your cut of the Kelly's minefield massacre. I made a visit to the 4th Reich earlier mate; you are defo keeping Goono here occupied😈 Honest mate - I'm still buzzin' here from your initial response but this salvo is equally ram-packed with examples of your elite-level enthusiasm, knowledge insight and wit. @@goontroopz9047 Yeah mate, "Himmel, "mein gott" and "hande hoch" were the first German I learned as a laddie and we both know from which particular sources they came from. I love it! I have to admit mate I don't have much recollection of the Liberace at War sequence (thank fuck by the sound of it!) but I do have faint memories of one fit lad being offed by his erstwhile pals just as he's about to plug big Marv on a bus, and also some Gestapo types coming a cropper by an airfield or such like. But it's definitely this scene that makes the movie and it's very much on a par in the action, kit, Goonz and kills stakes in comparison to the earlier efforts for me. Yeah, you just know that somewhere, under some brushwood, lie a troop of butchered Goonz stripped of flecktarn 'n' boots, and damn the producers for denying us THAT particular pleasure 😈! You've got to think the Lts and NCOs were imbibing themselves of some of that looted booze back at the barracks whilst the grunts are being minced up and spat out by The Dozen, coz it's not like them to miss out on this kinda action is it? If you find out where to enlist btw put my name down next to your good self! I wouldn't dispute CHiPsy Boy's selection as your MOTM J. He was definitely in the running for mine too and it was the narrowest of margins in the end. He looked the biz in 'CHiPs' but he never topped this for me, no way Jose (or should that be Helmut?)! I'm glad my prose struck with a "solid" strike (😈) mate. I do tend to go off on one watching content like this (in more ways than one!) and this definitely hit me "hard" in oh so many ways, including verbally (that was the cleanest of it lol). No mate, best to avoid those penalty shoot-outs with the Germans (they'd win it at the death as ever!), better to take 'em down in that initial assault and stick it 'up 'em, as Cpl Jones would say lol. I was shocked the scenes from 'Kelly's' and 'Beyond Valkyrie' got through as they've been blocked before, but the secret is to keep the clips short. Having said that, I had a video blocked and was given a warning the other day so they are still about (it was the 'Ilsa She Wolf' one, blocked for nudity of all things!!!!!). " Your kameradschaft is priceless" - as is yours J, and in spades! I fucking love sparring with you on this level mate as you "get it" more than anyone I know. The "pleasure" is all mine, believe me!!!!

@@foreverblueclassics Brilliant m8 - I'd probably buy a DVD called 'Liberace at War' if there was chance the Goonz were even remotely involved lol. That scene was definitely surplus to requirement and I'm not surprised you've erased it from memory. Yeah, early doors an on-the-ball Herr Flick type commandeers a squad car and about three Krad crews to pursue the Dozen's team bus. The Goonz get wiped out of course (the team bus gets written off after the driver catches an unlucky ricochet) and that fit, lone Dozen mutineer you recall gets offed by one of his mates. I defo did a cut of it back in the day - and I may look at another to complete this project - although the endgame here and the Goonz getting f**ked over a barrel are defo the best sequences in the movie. At least you've got my mind off the atrocity of 'Liberace at War' lol with talk of "a troop of butchered Goonz stripped of flecktarn 'n' boots'" though if you got a yellow card for 'She Wolf', the chance of us getting away with scenes of a spread of diehard Goon troopz wearing nothing but their dog tags is fairly slim lol. You also got me thinking of some of the top junior officers (Lt Meyer in 'Cross') and NCO's (the Kelly's Corp and Sgt. Schroeder in Big Red1) who merit standing at achtung for. CHiPsy boy wouldn't have made the short list if he'd not been in Goon kit lol. As a token show of solidarity and respect A, I've subbed your lad on as thumbnail. Your observations and commentary are in a different league. I've even been lapping up your comments on other lads' content of late; the temptation to chip in with a salute is so hard to resist - you might have to get a restraining order sorted soon lol. Thanks A - you spar like a pro.

I sourced it from "The Dirty Dozen (2 Disc Special Edition) [DVD]" (which includes the Original 'Dirty Dozen' movie and this 'Next Mission' Sequel). The EAN is 7321900679213. You should be able to pick up a used copy for a few quid/bucks...

That sniper look like going to kill Hitler but the colonel told him to shoot the SS officer standing next to him. But what would you think if he shot Hitler and end the war?

Mate - I think the idea was that Hitler's incompetent tactics would quickly lead to his Army's total defeat. If the SS General (who planned to kill Hitler himself) took over, the war would go on and on.

Yeah - there are a load of elite troopz who ain't gonna need their kit anymore; I fear the spatter may be so heavy in some cases that it will take some shifting though mate ;-)
