I think we can all agree that we would enjoy the video a lot more without the drama and fake deadlines. There are a ton of youtubers out there showing their everyday lives and how they work and it's interesting to watch. People enjoy watching engineers doing maintenance and how things are fixed and how people perform certain jobs. No one wants or enjoys the drama and tension of this manufactured urgency. Quite the opposite it ruins the whole mood and makes everything look silly and fake.

These without doubt are going to be old tracks, what I assume they're doing is keeping the old steel/iron links since these rarely go bad but replacing all the hardware such as the bushings and pins. Just like when you get a 'brand new' drive shaft for your car nine times out of ten the shaft it self is an old used part but the joints at the ends have been replaced with new.

yes they kept talking about how dangerous things work yet when they started to initially remove the track from the machine that cable from the crane could have snapped in the track would have flown back at that man standing there just blown him apart there was also a guy at one point that had his back turned to the crane as it was pulling the track backwards that's why all those accidents happen people are idiots

worked on one and there aint much except a huge switch room or engine room and a slew chamber where the cables to the bucket lay and drag along on a "drag chain" made off plastic and a big funnel for the ore to fall into. thats it really

Looks to me like the Greeks would help themselves a lot by having two guys constantly going over the machine with pressure washers to keep it free of abrasive dust and mud. Start at one end and go to the other, then start back again. Clean equipment lasts longer, and is easier to service.

I really like it that Fallout 76 used this mega machine as a world prop with real life analytics and their fantasy fusion-reactor tech while keeping the theme of why Fallout is weirdly a better place than ours. Plus, while black titanium is a real-life mineral, it's not that strong and hardened cast iron can beat it in longevity and stress-bench tests.

7:09 why don't they use the right equipment for the job? these machines need to be running there aint no time for old crapy machiney that is extremly dangerous and takes a very long time to operate. there are mutch beter cranes and such for that kind of job and it whould be mutch safer and mutch faster. and allso more precise. with an operation this big there is no ''we can't afford it'' you take a loan becaus maintenance speed and safty is super important

Guys are afraid of the cables? Well look at the cable at 7:55. No wonder. Also you dont run a cable through a shackle. Especially through the pin. The rendering of the cable will unscrew the pin. Should probably have the safety guy watch the video before you post safety issues.
