Thank you! I’ve seen so many horror short films that end right after a killshot by a monster - my goal was to lean towards horror, but not rely on jump scares or ending tropes :)
@GimbleProductions3 жыл бұрын
This was a passion project of mine I have tried to make several times over the past four years - but I never could realise my vision. At the start of the lockdown in Sydney, Australia in 2021, I decided that there was no better time than to focus my efforts and make the project I had wanted to come to fruition for the longest time. I wanted to create a horror film that was unique against the standard short film horror tropes you would see on the internet, and base the idea around a concept that many people can relate to; WHERE THE HELL DO SOCKS GO WHEN I DO THE WASHING?! I hope you all enjoy! - Dom Colucci

There are many independent short horror movies around KZbin. Some are pretty good, some others less so, but this one sure lies at the top of the (laundry) basket. Great job on the directing and filming! You have a cute puppy, and the monster was actually endearing for once instead of being just scary.

@Gimble Productions This is totally unique idea for making horror movies. I was expecting death scene the whole time, the monster was somehow cute and creepy at the same time, (still i thought he will kill that guy) and also i wanted a good ending for this story. And there was a good ending. Boom! 💥 😁
@conversevans432 жыл бұрын
That was so sweet! I thought the creature was going to kill the dog and the guy, and all he wanted was the clean sock back. He didn't even hurt the puppy which is shocking, because almost every single horror movie/film whenever there is an animal or family pet in it, they get killed. I don't know why writers add that into movies, because it's not like it makes the movie any better. It's just sad and makes me so angry. Job well done on this! I really enjoyed it. It was so unique and creative. I can't wait to see more of your work :)

This is fantastic! I can see that you guys have a lot of respect for the horror genre - your uncomfortable angles, your lightning, etc. This really is genuinely excellent. The 'monster' is amazing also! And that one liner at the end says it all really. It's about time we found out the answer to that question. Happy Halloween to you both!

@@vrabes2959 That’s very kind of you! I look back on this short film with a lot of fond memories. The sound of the monster came from the idea that it had no visible mouth so it needed to have internal clicking/purring, a bit of rolling some r’s with my mouth closed with some pitch/tempo adjustments and voila!

WOW !!! What a fine gem this was with great creepy atmosphere & tension only to find this thing which just wanted to be warm & it does get chilly in the attic just wanted his clothes but missed one sock & we all know Demons & Monster's love snazzy socks & how cool was it that in the end it gave him back the sock he was willing to sacrifice himself for . Guess this thing was cold & from it's expressions which with the limited ones it had seem to show compassion , something we do often lose with horror films & when we see it works both ways well that's just great writing & filmwork . We get it it all here & thanks you for a fun ride with a twist that made this as great as it is. I have an attic much like this one but nothing there but the occasional mouse , I am less compassionate when it comes to mice in the attic , one night a scratching sound next one, one dead mouse . I would rather have this thing up there it was just chilly & didn't try and chew up his wiring LOL.. I loved your film & one of the best ones i've watched . I think as an opinion the part with his dog yelping was in my mind just a fact that dogs love socks & as this thing wanted that sock it was more a tug of war thing & not you're typical eat the dog scenario . We forget we can go but more clothes this poor thing can not but now it doesn't need to. I may need to stop by the local goodwill & pick up some old clothes to toss in my attic as it seems not all things are evli & cruel.
