I listen to Dirty Loops everywhere: In the car, dancing, running or walking, relaxing. "Hardtop" from the same album showcases Cory more but unfortunately there's no "real" video with that one. The whole "Turbo" album is fabulous.

Hey guys, thanks for another Loops Tuesday reaction, and getting strapped into your seats for this one! I’d listen to this in my car, on full blast 💥💥💥☺️ And this album is on my Christmas wishlist, for sure! You’ve both guessed it right, Cory Wong is one hell of a guitarist, but mainly funk and rhythm guitar as I understand. Check out his channel when you have time. It’s both mindblowingly good and entertaining, always fun. He jams with some of the world’s best musicians. Watched some of his live European tour concerts, and it’s something else!! His sense of time and groove…. That Kenni Holmen sax solo in here also is 🔥! Check out another video on Cory’s channel, about ‘Kenni Holmen and his High Notes’ ☺️ When you have a minute, check out the fourth song with a video from this album, ‘Ring of Saturn’. Again no vocals, and again very much Cory-led in its composition. Very chill and Latin-flavoured song, with another sweet solo by Kenni Holmen, this time on flute. The woodblocks on this track here - I wouldn’t be surprised if Dirty Loops percussionist Andreas Ekstedt added some of his magic there - just guessing. So much looking forward to your next Dirty Loops instalment, guys! Oh and happy belated birthday, Jeremy 💥🎸😎

If they're not already on Millie's list, I'd like to request my 2 favorite Dirty Loops tracks, Forever Young and Over the Horizon. Both are very Pat Metheny-inspired and you get to hear Jonah sing more in his lower register in Forever Young which also has his best keyboard solo imho.

On my Dirty Loops playlist, I have to pass this one in the car unless there is open road and the speed limit is 70 (I might have a history of driving too fast with jamming music)! Also, there is a YT channel called Pianote, and they have a great video of Jonah creating a piano piece to a Harry Styles song he's never heard. It's like Drumeo.... 😀 Those horns are so great! ❤🎶

Love a good jazzy sax, but the horns are fabulous! Stop when you want!! You will be on the right side of KZbin. This whole production is 🔥. Jazz is more like big band and it’s all about blend and small solos. This was perfect! I’m outside today taking a break from trimming the lawn and cleaning out the cracks in the driveway. It’s probably close to 90* today and the grey clouds keep coming by. I’ll sit on the stoop when it rains, depending on which way the wind blows. Then I might take a swim tonight!

Aron Mellergård is such an amazing musician. For those who don´t know: He writes the basslind. Both him and Jonah Nilsson has a degree in orchestration... The other dudes claims Aron to be the band leader, since he´s the oldest..He´s sitting there in the background with a perfect overview, normally not being the one the light shines the most on. It´s really nice to watch.

The really crazy part is that the Cory Wong players and Dirty Loops had never met each other nor even been in the same room until just recently. They are in two different countries, and the videos were stitched. Note that they never cross the middle or have any physical interactions. All of the songs were recorded via file sharing between Minneapolis and Sweden!

@buddystewart2020Ай бұрын
As much as you like these horns, it seems like you would really like Tower Of Power too. Cory is a great guitar player but I don't think I've ever seen him shred like you're talking about. Maybe he can, but I haven't seen it. So no, I don't think it's that you just haven't seen the right song. That being said, I've certainly not seen or heard everything he's released. As to your question, what am I doing when I listen to the Loops. For me, they are not 'background' music. When I put them on, or any kind of challenging music like this, i.e. Weather Report, Brand X, Tribal Tech, Guthrie Govan, I'm actively listening. I'm sitting in front of my stereo with the sole intent of listening to this music. Or I have my headphones on and I'm doing the same thing, checking out every beat, every rest, every aspect of the song. If I want something in the background, it won't be this type of music. Almost anything other than this.
