Pinnacle of metalcore !

They are great in the studio, but I saw them life in the Seul Jazz Festival a few years ago and it was a disappointment.

Adam Chance introduced me to The Longest Johns. On stage they tend to bounce around and bang on things with anything they've grabbed before going on stage. When Chance sang with them he brought a long baguette, took a bite, and starting hitting something with it. Eventually he threw it into the audience when they clamored for it! There's more to the story which was shared on a Patreon Livestream with Chance's community.

Yep, just like a shanty! It was sweet, the harmonies were so pretty, and some of the looks were playful. I loved seeing the little boy on the piano. And I enjoyed when you recognized the equipment they were using. Nantucket Island is about 30 miles south from Cape Cod. I went to school when geography was a big thing. I did well until they started splitting countries in Europe and changing the names of countries in Africa. Then I had kids! Anyway, it’s a great song and they looked so relaxed. Happy Monday! 🎶 Cyd

Aaron does writing and arranging for an orchestra in Stockholm. You can see some of this work on KZbin. He definitely has arranged some of the bass parts in Dirty Loops.

Thank you - I'm glad you enjoyed the studio recording on this. As Rebeccarose said, the Llandoger was the other song of theirs you did - but after a cross-country drive, no wonder you've lost track. They are a lot of fun live - when you have time to breathe there are several fan videos out there of their recent US tour, where Adam Chance of Home Free filled in for one of them who had visa issues.

Goblinesque Henriks a killer on bass, but way down low in the mix - ever tried Owane? Henrik did a song with Jack and Owane "UTFF" an entry point through which i discovered Owane and Jack of course) - recommended! Owane is on YT so "Rock is too heavy" "Action boys" "Born in space" or "Summer jam" are some excellent examples to try

I remember watching this on TV. The whole performance was so boring. The song was just droning on and on, and then out of nowhere Prince started to play and it was like the light was turned on. Prince turned the tribute into one that George Harrison deserved. He took what would have been a completely forgettable performance to one that people have never stopped talking about.

I just love how Pau used to play like Animal from the Muppets. Fun to watch, but she is exhausted after one song. She is a much more efficient drummer now, but still the most fun to watch of any drummer. Sitting back there like a queen on her throne. ❤❤❤

Even though I really enjoyed this... I did get a little annoyed at times and was thinking "you've already seen it and had your reaction to it, let the percussionist in the room experience it without all the added noise" but I know how damn hard it is not to be even more excited seeing this the second time around ❤ because I've seen every single reaction on YT of it and also watched the actual video many times with all DL's other content and still can't sit still seeing it. I am a drummer myself so I can never sit still anyways😂😢. Thanks for the great video👍✌
