Dirty Loops are their own genre. You never know what to expect next (except for crazy good musicianship) and that's what I love about them. They don't try to fit into any box.

The first time I heard the song, I wasn't sure what to think...but upon each listen, I love it more and more....at this point having heard it like 50x or whatever, it's a goddam masterpiece! That off-beat techno-industrial shuffle has my head bobbin' wearing a major stankface! As someone else said, I really appreciate your being quiet and just listening to the song, then providing thoughtful comments. SO many reactors feel obliged to keep talking over the music and they aren't even hearing half that great details of the music. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for your reaction and breakdown, Joel, I loved it. Liked and appreciated the way you listened and showed us your reactions without interrupting, then added that analysis afterwards 👍 Im not a pop music listener either, but totally dig Dirty Loops. And you’re so right, they grab you with easy hooks and great Melodie’s at first, and then proceed to ‘destroy’ a song, ‘do the surgery’ as Aron once put it :) For me, this song has you sitting on the edge of your seat in a nail biting kinda way, it’s so melodramatic, operatic, cinematic….!! And all the while dropping those nasty, scratchy bits inbetween. As a fan of classical, jazz, funk, hip hop fusion and everything else in between, to me this track has it all. Have I mentioned Jonah’s vocals yet?!! Their bricklaying skillz, -out of this world. Notice the many builds in here, before the big final one-. How they bring in the strings (real ones) to such great, haunting effect. Man, Dirty Loops can do horns and they can do horn arrangements, but damn can they do strings! You’ve said it, the non sequiturial style of of their song writing has always blown me away! Listen to anything from their first album, (I’m thinking ‘Ta Fête’ or ‘Where’s The Beat’, -anything really) and you’ll find this to be a constant with their music. You’ve heard “Rock You” before, introduced by your buddy, and I’d wish for you to listen to “Work Shit Out” or any of their older covers or originals. Everything they touch turns into gold ⚡️👌💥 Thanks again for a rad reaction 🙏

I love this song! It is so beautifully odd and melodic(?). Every reactor is a bit bewildered by it, and some are just overwhelmed, it seems. You got it, great! Thanks a lot for this! (Their Run away is also a bit surprising, and odd, in it's own way, as is Work Shit Out).

Great reaction! It's the second song from their EP Run Away. Run Away came out a while ago and is also very 'unusual'. Worth listening fore sure! What I like about Dirty Loops: they never repeat themselves or sound the same. They write music they like and keep surprising with their great musicianship and writing skills ❤!

Enjoyed your reaction to this song, i think you should try their release before this one - "Run Away" for some bass-madness - they have a backlog of so much stuff you can dive into if you will They often go "hold my beer" to pass the baton over to a band member to feature a solo or prominent role on a track or switch during a song, or all flexing in turn while keeping the standard at the very highest standard, in pocket all around, also live. Superlatives : ) Probably the most talented trio & individually probably amongst the best within their domain today Hope to see you react to them again

😍😍😍Love the darker nuances, the amazing piano-playing.... Movie music, in a way! I guess you won´t hear a lot of covers of this song... 😂 Love, love, love!!

I definitely would recommend checking out some other Dirty Loops. They have a tendency to surprise you even if you think you're prepared ;-) I don't know what your friend Rocko (is that how you spell it??? :-) showed you but a couple of different suggestions that will get you a bit around could be "Work shit out", "Accidentally in love", "Breakdown", "Rock you", "Sayonara love" and one of their cover songs f.ex. "Wake me up" and then something from their collab with Cory Wong - "Follow the light". And just for fun Henrik and Arons side-project Songs for lovers: "Old Armando had a farm" 🤣

Your other reaction to DL must’ve been QUITE a way back because I gave up looking for it after some extensive scrolling. Whichever it was, let me just say EVERYTHING this group has done has impressed me with the depth and breadth of their talent (my key indicator of whether I like an artist/group or not). Please consider reacting to some Jacob Collier. I noticed you’ve done some content on Aurora… Jacob and Aurora have collaborated on an arrangement of a track from JC’s most recent album “A Rock Somewhere” to benefit Greenpeace. Perhaps you could start there…

I love it, but I wish it was maybe a minute longer. On the other hand, keeps me wanting more rather than outstaying its welcome.
