Self study can't do much. The concepts which are taught in Coaching SHOULD be taught in schools even if not all people want to attempt JEE. Actually going for the country's research and development should be promoted instead of package of lakhs in IITB CSE. As a 12thie who is enrolled in 1y batch in FIITJEE, i can relate so much. @@kumaravnish3078 MONEY yes the thing that's increasing the country's GDP everyday but also making it backward in other fields. School teachers salaries are pretty much bad because if they increase salaries while teaching JEE concepts then schools will have to increase fees as well and then not everyone could afford them. If only education was more affordable with higher quality in schools to everyone, the country would have been a better place. India has already been earning a lot in IT sector for the last so many years. If people start looking at salaries only then there will be a time when an impending WW3 will be underway and India will have shortage of weapons and supply and will be attacked by Pakistan and China while our scientific minds would be there in America licking the butts of their Western overlords. We can't always depend on Western nations for military trades can we? We need scientific minds to make sure DRDO doesn't run dry of workforce and start developing indigenous military supplies for self defence, because India has pretty much outdated military equipment and even though we are currently ahead of China in naval force, they are just much more advantaged in numbers so they will just pull ahead of us in R&D

A grand salute to you Dear Kushal for your fearless and spot-on analysis of the "Kota Factory". I got my son admission to one of the top coaching centres. I stayed there for 2 years with my entire family because I could afford to do so. I can’t put the entire blame on these money-monger coaching centres, in fact, I would put equal blame on parents as well including myself who fall into this trap and burns their hard-earned money on false hopes. I would like to share my experience with Kota. It's a very cruel and harsh atmosphere on a psychological level for these young kids. The competition level is extremely high and depressing. At Kota Factory, these coaching institutes can increase the probability to crack the competition exams only for those students who are able to secure 90% and above consistently. But the rest of the maximum mob of students are there only to pay higher salary packages to coaching teaching staff and to increase the wealth of the coaching institute owners. These Kota Factory coaching owners and their coaching staff come to know at a very early stage like in the first quarter itself about the potential and capacity of the students to crack the competitive exams. The weather and pollution at Kota further degrade the situation. So many times I got into tears watching the plight of these young kids. These coaching centres distribute umbrellas and backpacks with their brand name to these kids. During summer when these kids hit the black tar road on the way back to their respective GH's from the institute, if one is seeing this mass flow from the top, then he can't see that hot black tar road, he can only see various colours of umbrellas.

I was there in kota from 2012 - 2015. i was below average according to them my ranks were always around 1500s. I didn't like it at all it scars your mind your self esteem is completely lost. They didn't allow us to listen to music, read newspaper or watch news. It was sin according to them to do all this because you are just a machine to crack IIT. I went on to complete CS from a private college and when I came to industry no one cares if you are from IIT or not they just care how well you can code. Got package after placements similar to IIT so i would say don't let them tell that you are a failure. Define your life yourself i didn't care shit about their batches, tests and all. I was never meant to be a machine or a topper for them. I now value my life my mental health a lot more than what rank i got in Kota. Hope this helps ❤️

Nowadays, everyone wants you to be perfect. EVERYONE. Sometimes I feel like there is no place for average students in the society. The difficulty level of exams like IIT JEE and NEET is equally responsible..! How can you expect someone to prepare for IIT or NEET in two years when we kids were just learning basics till class 10th. Why there are less number of colleges when it is a developing country with a population of 1.3 billion? Why so much less vaccancies? People developing the myth in the society is what killing our young minds, when they hype the tags like IITians and stuff. For people today IIT and NEET are only the job options left. Let me tell you, do follow your intrest, Cause there is only one sundar pichai, an IITian, most number of engineers gets a average salary check. Learn with intrest, not with pressure.

Let me share u my personal story or experience I was an below average in 12th and i cleared 12th with 78% so after 12th , i took drop for neet and joined a small coaching, in my own city (Kanpur) as my parents said ek saal try kar le , and tbh that coaching actually improved my interest in neet examination and i understood in that coaching what neet is and i got some confidence that i can actually clear it , and the teachers in that small coaching was actually good , but sadly i couldn't cleared neet , And then this year my parents said " abhi kota jaake coaching kar le nikal jaayega " So i went kota and even joined a coaching even paid first installment and i stayed in kota for 1 month but they gave me a a very lower batch in which teachers were not highly experienced they were just teaching what ever comes in their mind no NCERT sequence , so i decided i cant stay here and waste my parents money , i got refund from that coaching and i came back to my city here i joined individual coaching and also took pw subscription now my preparation is also on the track

Instead of Kota I went to study in a coaching that was in my hometown. Just a few kms distance from my home. They taught only 20 max students in each batch. I joined as a below average student(70.8% in 12th CBSE) and came out of the coaching after two years with an all India rank sufficient to get into a reputed government medical college of our state. And I won't lie, 8 of 14 students of my batch got selected in government seats. And others got into decent private colleges. This was because they taught all the students just the same way it was upto us students to choose to study or waste time. I'm a final year Mbbs student today. Hoping to become a doctor in a couple of months. Earlier my parents were also fascinated by the idea of Kota but my 12th tution teacher warned them of the money making business of big franchise names and they chose not to send me there. A student should only be willing and the rest should be upto the ability of the teachers. Atleast education should be free of discrimination. I thank God and my parents for making the right decision.🙏🙏🙏🙏

Didn't miss a second of this video of yours. Wish I had come across this video much earlier. Yeh IIT aur ViIIT toh mere palle nahi padte, but nonetheless I was a student of Science in my +2 and later changed my stream to Arts because of my love for Literature. But during my tenure as a student of science (2003-2005 Batch), I have definitely witnessed the hype given to IIT by my classmates, their parents and our teachers. "IIT jao life hojayegi..." Well life sabki hoti hai. Achievement bhi sabka adhikaar hai. But IIT ek hi maadhyam nahi hai. Jeevan ko seemit nahi karna chahiye. Kuch IIT ke chakkar mein "Ignorant Indian Trekkers" bhi banjate hain. It is not bad to motivate someone into IIT. A student should explore his/her possibilities and challenge his/her limits by putting in sincere efforts. But something which is not meant for someone should not be shoved into his/her throat. Great Responsibility lies with the School and College Teachers to give right councelling and motivation to the students and categorise them as per their abilities, skills and inclinations. When I was teaching in a private school, I was shocked to see an IIT batch which starts from Class-8😳. I was like "what the hell???". My sincere prayers to parents 🙏 please wakeup and connect emotionally to your kids. You never know what they are going through. Maintain smile on your faces while talking to them, so that they feel that everything is fine with whatever position they are now. Make your sons and daughters feel at ease. I took admission in FITJEE. They gave me 75% scholarship. All classes were good except for Maths. They even had AC. Our chemistry sir was from IIT Delhi and Physics sir was one of the well known professors. Well after COVID hit I just studied online. Didn't get a good rank in the first attempt. Gave a second attempt and got a nice rank of what I aimed for. Dreams are nice but achievable ones better. I never dreamed of going to IIT cuz I knew it wasn't for me

In Kota institute , once your rank goes down it is very difficult to recover and in coaching class they will demoralize by saying only 5 out of 200 will clear the exam. I was manage to clear entrance exam with lowest rank just because I came back to my hometown at right time else it was nightmare may be I was homesick... With my experience I cannot recommend anyone to live such a harsh life or if you so then at least be well aware and do not go just blind. I would suggest if one of the parents can accompany then it is a different story....Today I feel I am successful and I can see many other achieve much more without going to Kota....Our life is very precious and you can be successful in many ways...Best of luck.

I can relate this… My father wanted me to prepare in Kota in 2011 but my mother was not agreed. So I prepared for JEE in my hometown. Although I couldn’t get into IITs but was able to get into state govt. engineering college and now I am a successful engineer with a good package and in a good company. At this point of time I have no regrets that I couldn’t clear IIT. So I would request all the aspirants to focus on studies & should not be obsessive about IIT-JEE.

@@malinibanerjee7083 actually mummy's presence is a boost for everything. Guiding, restricting, enjoying whatever life has to offer for a person who is attched to family. Otherwise mummy/pappa cannot fix a spoilt brat either. So yes working moms cannot go with their children and the student got only himself/herself to guide themselves being in constant touch with mummy. They should always remember their mother working so hard to earn money for making their life easy & comfortable and they shouldnt deviate from their aim. They can at least do this for their mother. And its not too much to ask. Rest everything depends on trust.

Never gwt on the depression side, i went to Kota did not get selected into IIT, went to other college currently age 25 earning 7 figure. In the end you goal matters, for me it was to fullfill my parents wishes and hence i never gave up and keep scaling myself up and in the end got the result. Many more miles to go. 🤗

Yeah as someone who is in kota right now i can tell u there r indeed a lot of distraction but depends how much this means to you like since am a dropper i barely get time to even go to market to buy stuff that i required. And this distraction especially happens a lot with 11th students since most at that grade dont get too serious as they got 2 yrs n all so.

I have taken unacademy iitjee subscription. I was also confused about wheather i should go to kota or not . here are the reasons i did wanted to go there: 1. Top teachers from all over india . Solution: i got them on unacademy itself 2. Study environment Solution: that maybe be a struggle but i have to deal with it. Now whenever i feel like not studying i think of the droppers who lost all their chance of giving jee advanced if they were given time like me what they would do . I try to utilize my 24 hours very productively. Now, Why i didn't wanted to go there : 1.mess food: i have my health as priority. 2.parents moral support 3. Big batches. And focusing only on bright students. Now i decided not to kota as i was getting quality education online also .now the problem was of selecting a online coaching (big problem for me as i was not getting honest answers on quora as well as youtube ) . Finally i decided to go with unacademy iitjee. Now why i didn't chose pw ? Because on unacademy i was getting top teachers with whom my frequency was matching, their easy doubt solving (as doubt solving is a big problem in pw but they are improving rapidly i hope after one year or two they dominate the jee coachings and provide better and quality education to students without doing business). So ya now decision is yours . If i have to support between unacademy or pw i will for sure support pw and i truly truly hope education will not be business any more 😌 . And ya one more thing if u feel i chose unacademy because their teachers or material are better than pw then my answer is a big fat no! As teachers of both the platforms are great and have experience. So don't mess up that will pw be enough? Obviously it is . I wrote all my problems and Solutions now decision is yours hope it helps😊 btw i am a jee 2024 aspirant *( U CAN ASK YOUR DOUBTS TILL 17th JUNE AFTER THAT I WON'T BE ABLE TO ANSWER)*

Very well done! Have to give due credit to Kushal for giving such inside information. One needs to do some simple maths to understand: Total seats in IIT and NIT amounts to about 40,000. Add another 40,000 for private enggr institutes so altogether there are 80,000 Enggr Seats which are worthy to pursue. More than 8 Lacs students appear for JEE vying for the 40,000. Calculate the ratio!!! How many aspirants are there in Kota?? and you will be able to see it for yourself. Also note tha once you have 'cracked' the entrance and have landed yourself in any of these institutes, remember the journey within them is going to be very hard and arduous. Here you will not be able to bring your mother along. Emotional distress is a given, you need to learn how to cope without breaking.
