Dirty Deez I love horn bro and have it on both my bikes. Save my butt a few times 👍
@sebbysebra3 жыл бұрын
Dirty Deez, there is a reason why the compressor needs a 2,5 mm3 positive lead and a 20A fuse. Your OEM horn button is not dimensioned for the Amp the Wolo compressor draws and eventually it WILL fry. In other words, nice video, but incomplete instructions.
@TechnMoto5 жыл бұрын
Nice install. Should consider a relay cause the draw amps maybe too much for the switch. Just a thought

Great install. I just won one in black from @BlackPhoenixEntertainment and wanted to see a little more than the instructions showed. Glad I found yours. Eazee Peazee. I forgot to hit save so my message is still just here. After my install my air horn will only sound one short blast. After looking at the entire instructions, it apprears that the relay is needed to prevent burning it up and power it completely.😎😎

You might want to keep an eye on those wires. The directions on most of those say that the wires to your regular horn are too small. They also say you should hook those wires to the relay and run straight from the battery (through an inline fuse and the other contacts to the relay using a minimum of 18ga wire. There have seen some that ran it like you did and later fried their horn button and others that have melted some wire. That's how I installed mine, Just saying. Oh, and I am an electronics technician.
@DirtyDeez5 жыл бұрын
Right on tech, will cover that next and link. For now, link in pinned comment 👍
@DOMAPOI5 жыл бұрын
@@DirtyDeez I read the instructions that came with mine and they said to never use the horn wires that came with the bike to power the horn with, but to only use them to activate the relay. The instructions on mine also said to use a Minimum of 18 gage wire to power the horn from the relay. But then, mine is not the cheap WoLo brand.

I agree ... it there was a retro-fit alternative to fit within the OEM 'cowbell' enclosure and had 130db of dual-tone sound, then that would be the way to go. I'm still not sure what I'll replace mine with, as my stock H-D horn is probably loud enough anyway.
