61 here. Some say D.L. are DANGEROUS. Next level genuises. Elite, genteel musicians from another stratosphere. Just downright DISRESPECTFUL - and I mean that with the utmost respect to them. Who else would brilliantly re-imagine an iconic legendary song with an interlude featuring a DOUBLE BELL EUPHONIUM?! I mean...who does that? D.L. and Cory Wong and friends...that's who. And it works! Kudos to the collaboration with Cory and the WongNotes. (most of the members) These young masters of their craft are bringing it back! Unfortunately, I fear we will never hear this type of awesomeness on mainstream media or platforms, because folks today won't recognize that D.L. are expertly playing what we heard decades ago......MUSIC. D.L. gives me hope though. Right now, they really are at the top of the game with what they do. That's saying something (from an EWF, Chicago, Queen, Journey, etc., fan)

I only cry at Joe Dispenza's meditations when I'm working on the chakras, but this piece of yours also completely ripped me apart and put me back together again. This is such a wonderful experience that I had with you that there are not enough words. If there is a musician's heaven somewhere in the Universe, if there is Michael and other musicians and singers who are no longer physically with us, but are there with God, then they are rejoicing with all of us. Somewhere in the beginning, God is sound, even so he has enormous power, music is also his instrument, it brings people together, it doesn't matter race, how rich or poor someone is, educated, healthy or sick, you can feel love, emotions from music , so thank you all very much. May God continue to bless you as he has put heart, life and talent into each of you. May God be with you even on your travels, may he accompany your steps and take care of you. Amen, thank you. ❤💘💘

A band wich figured out the delicate balance that exist when you listen to them as another musician, or just as a fan who enjoys their music. They'll rock your world in both cases. Music has brought forth a new genre. It's called Dirty Loops. The bar was just raised a little higher... For whoever's trying to figure out what happens metrically: The majority of the song is in 12/8 time (4 groups of 3 eighth-notes), which you could also think of as 4/4 with a triplet subdivision. 1 + a 2 + a 3 + a 4 + a However, from 3:20 onwards, it shifts to 3/2 i.e. 3 groups of 4 eighth-notes which also makes 12. (Instead of a standard 'half-time' feel at 50% of the tempo, it's kind of a 'three-quarter-time' feel at 75% of the tempo.) The ride bell marks every beat, and the snare is on the 8th eighth-note, anticipating the third beat. 1 e + a 2 e + *_a_* 3 e + a Now for what happens at That One Break at 4:13 - the off-beat snare hit becomes the downbeat of a virtual 12/8 bar, which is then filled with 4:3 quadruplets. (or, if you considered the original groove to be 4/4 with triplets: straight sixteenth-notes.) Mathematically you can work out that _none_ of these notes will fall precisely on the 'real' _one._ 1 e + a 2 e + [1e+a 2e+a 3e+a 4e+a] *_a_* 3 e + a (between brackets going at 133% speed)

Most people steer clear away from covering Michael Jackson's music because Michael set the bar so high that many musicians can't match it, can't top it or equal it. And, of course, there have been a few exceptions (Boyz II Men, Floetry, Justin Timberlake). Most musicians are not humble to begin with. Anything that they do, THEY themselves want ALL of the accolades and approval for. When doing Michael's music, you'll instantly be compared to him and now you're in his shadow. Again, most musicians don't want that and can't hit the notes that Michael could sing or dance like him, so most of them back away from covering Michael's body of music. Dirty Loops and Cory Wong gave a truly loving and wonderful performance, though.
