And if anyone thinks the end of the season put an end to Denny and Ross then they’re oblivious. No doubt Denny has had all off-season to stew and plan accordingly. Unless Denny’s dumber than I’m giving him credit, OR there comes an instance where he loses his 💩 and stops thinking…. Can’t wait for the 2023 season y’all!!! Stay safe!

I really appreciate the insights and perspectives discussed on your show. In this conversation, I think something that Dale was closer to than Mike is that any race consists of a time when one driver competes against one other driver to the exclusion of other cars. It becomes very personal and limited to only one other competitor. Call it emotion, call it skill, call it being smart, call it competitive spirit or whatever, but a driver's priorities can be influenced by becoming so focussed on competing with one other driver that they get real good at concealing the way they win. Hamlin is a veteran and I like that.

Busch, or was a catalyst to, becoming public enemy #1. Although, since roughly 2020, I have become a fan of Kyle. As I think him being blunt and speaking the truth, and honest opinion, is awesome, for the sport, as all these young drivers are PR clones, bland as hell. And awesome because no fucks are given. Which is how I've started to feel in general.

The fact that the Hamlin scene is still causing conversation like this proves the brilliance and experience of Hamlin. Why?? Because Hamlin created the perfect storm to PROVE NO ONE can prove Hamlin did this on purpose!! Contact was made, but all Hamlin has to say is "my car got light and I may have drifted up." No one can prove a thing otherwise...which is why it will ALWAYS be a debate!

@@markclemens9964 "withholding a benefit from someone for any action or reason said person did is EXACTLY retaliation" Incorrect. Treating each person acording to the level of respect they deserve is not retaliation. ---- The retaliation (or what one could call natural reaction) occurred at the point in time where the assessment of the level of respect deserved CHANGED. So, retaliation (in that sense) occured long before the race at issue even started. During the race there was only a giving of benefits or withholding of benefits as previously determined would be appropriate, no retaliation during the race.

I've been to the Richard Petty Driving Experience THREE times, did Daytona and Charlotte back to back days... My 6 years in an online race pool, picking winners and top ten finishers, I have 3 championships, 2 second places and 1 third place... I think I know a little about racing.... If you knew as much as you think, you'd realize what you are describing is the norm, but this wasn't a normal situation. He was saying if this was any other scenario without drivers having beef, it'd just be a hard racing deal. Jr. saw it as retaliation pure and simple, just not overly blatant, but enough to send a message. Me personally, I think either way, Denny got retaliation whether it was intended or not, simply because you have to wonder or even think about it, and the seed of doubt is there. To Mike's point, unless Denny flat out admitted it, you can make the claim one way or the other. To Jr's point, he didn't cut him any slack which was uncharacteristic of how he raced everyone else that day.

Jr could have mentioned the feud between Carl & Brad, THAT was a deal that involved Cup & Busch Series racing and they always got together right at the end of the race...

You’re both right either way it does not make a difference. It’s never worth arguing over something that’s meaningless. It’s like arguing over if something stinks, it’s an opinion. If you argue with a fool the bystanders will forget which one is the fool.

Let Mike know that just because he’s been “around” racing for awhile, doesn’t make him a race car driver like Junior. Junior sees what happened from a driver’s perspective. Period!!

I've always said Mike doesn't respect himself that's why he doesn't know when to shut up. What would Mike do if it wasn't for JR.

Geez, listening to that makes me wonder if Mike has ever watched a race before. Good grief, he wanted to be right so bad that his common sense went on vacation.

Denny knew full well who it was on the outside and would NOT have done what he did if it were anybody else. That's Racing !!
