"A mobility device should be considered an extension of the user's body". Well-said and great tips!

I am a 51 year old African American female with physical disabilities who has a pattern of attracting Correctional Officers and Police Officers whom like using excessive force when Arresting and detaining People with Physical Disabilities, This happens to me alot in Pensacola Florida. My last Arrest was 3/27/22, I was Pepper Sprayed while in restraints, like I was go be able to resist before or after the use of excessive force. Some of the Corrections Officers and Police Officers are using excessive force on physical disable people and they are getting away with it. My excessive force was done by a male and I am a female, but I guess it happens to men also, oh yeah I have witnessed this behavior on alot of People. It's happening like crazy in the ECSD Areas.

Dion, we're very sorry you've experienced this abuse. There's a community driven group called The Arc that's working on police reform as it relates to disabled people. We encourage you to reach out to them on potential next steps on this for your location. thearc.org/our-initiatives/criminal-justice/pathway-justice/

Surprisingly, and unfortunate, you forgot to mention crutches. Crutches are my disability device, and yes they are extensions of my arms (body).

never knew that physical disability could be overcomed like this

For now, the basis of my thesis, is that all physical disability is a form/mode/variation on the following: One aspect of the body - or the body as a whole -, is functioning as two distinct and disconnected parts. Like a communications issue amidst lower spine and upper spine -, hence all aspects connected the lower are "cut off" from upper. But since input for motion comes from above, for the most part anyway, there is less/no motion below -; what we call a form of paralysis.

Just as we would restore communications. I guess the solution must be some form of restoring connection where it is supposed to be. Like putting a corpus colosum in between two hemispheres.

Hmmm. So adding connective tissue? Is that even a thing. But id prefer a non-invasive procedure. The body heals itself; so it will rebuild connection; thus we must discern what the patient is doing (on an unconscious level - hence a commonly percieved psychological component to physical ailment) which may lead to the body hindering its healing; as well as what could be done to promote it, like a catalyst.

Recent episodes show how he makes women feel good with physical disabilities, and how you never see them in magezines or on billboards or general posters, what if you have a mental difficulty? Most people are ignorant to them too, however because we can't see it it's not there... What if we were to put posters up showing mental difficulty such as ADHD, or dyspraxia? How could you portray that with out making it look like a piss take? We take people in wheelchairs seriously, so why are things like dyspraxia uncommon to people? When I tell people I'm dyspraxic They look at me like I'm an alien... Subjects like this also need to be portrayed
