Hello! I'm a case manager with Brain Injury Connections and we recently talked about kitchen accessibility and showed this video to our attendants. A question I have from one of our attendants is where to find the arm prosthetic pieces that Bob is wearing at the beginning of the video? My client stated that he would love to figure that out as it would greatly help him mobilize his wheelchair much better without tearing down the skin on his arm. Thank you!
@NCHPAD3 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for looking into this for your client, Ashley! Bob’s upper limb prostheses were custom-molded for his residual limbs at Hanger Clinic in Birmingham, AL, which has multiple locations across the U.S. You can contact their limb specialists at (800) 442-6437 to find a clinic near you. Since this type of prosthesis isn’t very common, any orthotist or prosthetist may be able to assist if you share a screenshot or link to this video as a reference. Additionally, Bob is still part of NCHPAD as an Expert Inclusion Specialist. If you or your client have further questions, feel free to schedule a call with him by emailing us at [email protected].

I´m 76 y.o. and I have A LOT of joint problems after accidents. I have found bands to be one of the very best tools for rehab that there is plus they are also the cheapest tools I have found. I must have upwards to 50 bands now and still I bought another 4 bands one week ago. As I did the exercises in this video I kept changing bands as needed. I have also several videos with band exercises but this one hour complete body workout for people with mobility problems was the best I have ever used. I found several exercises that hit my muscles like never before, maybe because I never tried sitting exercises. Clearly sitting exercises is a must when You have joint problems. As an example: I have done hamstring exercises only lying down using ankle straps with resistance bands and standing using ankle weights but after trying that simple hamstring exercise you showed me sitting in a chair that may now become my favourite hamstring exercise. Imho this video is gold for people with joint problems ! 👍Thank You KZbin for recommending it to me 🤗

I do not have learning disabilities. I have stunted development. Having had a pathologically narcissistic mother who bulldozed and bullied me my entire childhood, I never even learned to communicate effectively. EVERYTHING I said was dismissed and disregarded. Growing up I wasn’t allowed a voice. Now I am actually learning that I have the RIGHT to be heard. It doesn’t mean I get everything I want. What it means is that I can express my preferences without being demeaned. What a crappy mother I had. Thank you for this positive presentation.

Can we use same used cucumber and lemon in second day's bottle?

You can certainly use the same cucumber and lemon depending on how long you've let them rest in the first day's water. For the best taste and more nutrient dense results, however, we recommend using fresh ingredients.

Good info. 120 seems high though. Is this just in pregnancy? How does blood glucose levels vary from non-pregnant woman?
@NCHPAD4 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for watching and leaving your comment! It’s always best to follow specific recommendations from a healthcare provider, as they may tailor targets based on individual health needs. But during pregnancy, blood glucose levels are usually lower than in non-pregnant women due to hormonal changes that increase insulin resistance.These stricter targets help prevent gestational diabetes and protect both mom and baby. A postprandial (after eating) blood glucose level of 120 mg/dL at 2 hours is generally considered a safe upper limit for pregnant women. However, some guidelines recommend aiming for even lower values to minimize risks. For example, some experts prefer levels closer to 110 mg/dL or less, especially for those managing gestational diabetes.
