Just above the setting in this video is a setting titled "Allow game captures". Change that to Captures by me, and games won't be able to take captures anymore.

I don't recommend setting it to don't upload otherwise when you manually record something it will not upload instead just select capture by me Which means the game will not upload for you only you can upload the game clip 😎👍

dont do this, only if you want to struggle with finding your videos that you recorded later. you cant ciew videos and photos unless they are uploaded, and no this function does not cause lag etc.

Make sure it's in in automatic rather than hdmi and make sure u play 1080p and just use the default settings if things does not still workout make sure it's not the game thats trobuling u if it's is delete the game or else best option reset ur xbox I hope this helps u mate
