Sentaces is disabled and homeless. Her rare skin condition causes open wounds on every part of her body. Sentaces receives $800 a month that mostly goes to live-saving medicine. She is anxious to share her story, but wants others to know the truth about being disabled in the USA.
Sentaces diagnosis is epidermolytic hyperkeratosis ichthyosis bullosa.
We created a PO Box for Sentaces. The address is:
1345 N Jefferson St. # 389
Milwaukee, WI
53202-2657
Connect with Sentaces at / serena_beautty
Sentaces told me she has never received mail and hopes people will take the time to write her. Some products that would be useful to her are Aquaphor, Eczema body wash , Baby oil (cocoa butter), Vaseline , Shea butter, cocoa butter gel, clothes preferably large or 1 x clothes, detergents or clothe strips.

Hi Chris! A question - I'm from Europe, but I want to help! Sadly, shipping things to the US from my country costs half a fortune (I'm from Austria! Germany only charges half of what the Austrian mail charges, and it's still a lot over there). So I was wondering if maybe there's a way for us Europeans to donate money, and then US based people could have access to that and use it to buy things for Sentaces' PO box? Personally I've never heard of something like this but I figured you're probably more knowledgeable about this stuff! Edit: Does she have a youtube channel? I'd love to hear more of her music, she has a BEAUTIFUL singing voice! :0 And just one more thing - I work at a doctor's office and I've been talking to my doc and suggesting to her that we play your videos in our waiting room! Would you be okay with that?

"I can't say she was my rock, because she wasn't. TV was. Music was." It's statements like this that remind me how important that accurate representations of humanity exist in media. Not just relating to race and gender, but also culture, disability, age. For a lot of us who have either grown up in dysfunctional homes or didn't have many friends, the stories that are told may be the closest thing to those realities we can get.

Yep. I agree. That's why I love reading people's autobiography or testimonies. I listen to DeLafé testimonies and Randy Kay Heaven testimonies a lot and the things I hear that people have gone through are absolutely horrendous to listen to, like Sentaces experiences. But they are honest and hearing about them sometimes helps me to remember trauma that I've experienced and heal, as well. Or at least pray for the people who have been through those things. ✝️

Man... she's laughing and smiling and all I can feel is pain. Always being the sad friend, or the hurting friend truly becomes a burden to them and you end up alone in the end. Choosing to wear a mask and pretend to be happy and laugh is a survival mechanism so that we don't end up all alone. It is heart wrenching watching her mannerisms since it shows how difficult her life has been.

Poof! GONE. I absolutely must protect myself now from how excruciatingly painful this is. Yes, being the depressed friend gets you nowhere but COMPLETELY ALONE.

As someone in the black community who deals with mental disabilities, I know what she means about how black households deal with emotions. It’s common within the community to “deal with it” because many black families, including my own family, suffer from generational trauma. And as a result, we begin to build up these emotional walls because we're tired of being affected by hurtful things. This is not a good thing to do but it’s a hard habit to break when you’ve done it all your life. I was bullied all the time in school because of my disabilities, and teachers wouldn’t do a thing about it. They’d tell me to just ignore it. But ignoring it does so much, ya know? When ignoring the bullies stopped working, I had to build those emotional walls I mentioned earlier, just to get through the day without having mental breakdowns. I’d love to be Sentaces’ friend! It’s nice to see someone who understands things that I’ve experienced. And to Sentaces: If you ever read this, I’m going to send you a letter with my email and phone number. I’d also love to send you a care package with skincare products and clothes. I’m going to send the letter out and then prepare the package throughout the next couple of weeks. You’re not obligated to respond to my letters but I’d love to talk to you. I love music (especially kpop) and video games too! Until then, keep doing you, girly! You’re amazing 💖 To Chris: Thank you for giving people in the black community a voice, and educating us on how we can be more compassionate towards others. It means so much to see my people have their voices heard. It’s hard having our emotions constantly invalidated, especially within our community. Things like this give me hope that people in our community will have more support in the future.

Yes, the generational abuse... I’m of the white poor from Poland \Austria generation that was lucky enough to get out of Europe before the holocaust. My ancestors worked their fingers to the bones and luckily my mom was 1st generation educated which led to myself and my children having a better life. Our particular abuse wasn’t specifically committed towards one another although we have a few ‘loose screws’ in the family but it was definitely systemic and had to be overcome.

As a disabled person currently forced to live with an abusive family member, to me, Sentaces’ most pressing need is a home. As long as it’s not gifted to her, it can’t affect her benefits. It breaks my heart that we don’t have more in this country to offer such beautiful souls. In most places, government housing is so overwhelmed that their waitlists are closed. Even with government housing, living on SSI is near impossible without someone helping in addition. It pains me that the comment I’m offering further describes the problems rather than an ability to alleviate the inhumanity of her reality. These types of cultural maladies play heavily in my own mental health struggles. Sentaces, you’re brilliant. Radiant. Deserving. May your speaking out result in some meaningful shifts in your life circumstances. Thank you for sharing your vulnerability with us. You are seen, heard, and valued. Love to you.

I live with grandparents that really doesn’t believe in mental health or believe in my diagnosis with autism. I was always told to “get over it” or “your feelings don’t matter”. I just want to say this. Quite often viewers post in the comments here on SBSK what a wonderful person Chris is. Yes, that's absolutely true! But also, frequently when I'm reading through the comments I think of what a beautiful community we have here on SBSK. The viewers don't hesitate when something is needed. This isn't a typical KZbin channel. It's very uplifting and positive. The people in this community have proven again and again how caring and generous they are. They (we) truly believe in the power of real love. What a gift Chris has given us here with his channel.

Omg, when she said she had no hope in her future and the few sentences that followed...boy she got me. I don't understand how parents can abandon their children when they are already down, my daughter went through a period of drug abuse. She disappeared and I posted all over social media until I found her and finally got her back home. And she's still with me, and now she has a son that is almost 2. Yes, she's clean thanks to him. But I know how it feels to be kicked when you're already down by your Mom, and that's the only parent I ever had. I have never turned my back on my kids and never will. Bless this girl, I hope great things come to her because she deserves it. She truly is a ray of sunshine even if she doesn't feel it or see it...she is and she deserves so much more...

Sentaces, speaking directly to you: Oh my gosh. You are so incredibly strong, more than you seem to know. You've been dealt more than a couple of bad cards in life, so the fact that you were radiantly smiling and laughing your way through the interview, even in the moments that seemed more bitter than sweet, was just incredible. I've known so many people that have let themselves be dragged down because of the temporarily difficult parts of their lives; you, Sentaces, must have one beautiful and courageous soul in order to continue existing with the attitude that you do, with the circumstances under which you live in. Not only that, but your voice is absolutely beautiful. I really encourage you to try starting a KZbin channel or Instagram/Tiktok account, I really think you would be successful. We love you! @@bantikuiwa7698 I’m 36 and I have been through a lot and I want you to know life gets better and women of colour like us need to support each other and lift each other up. Praying for your skin to heal and better treatments and also for your heart to heal from all the bullying and abuse you experienced growing up. Big hugs, Sister🤗

There’s a gift in her behind all that pain and it’s music. Not to mention her sweet spirit. I pray that this video opens doors for her that she never thought possible that will give her the light that life has to offer. So sweet ❤️

She feels like sister, on a soul level. I never went through what she went through but the emotional pain, I can understand it. Ppl like us live on prayer.

Aaw Chris you were wonderful with her, you allowed her to talk and talk and she really opened up to you, i don't think people give her that chance very often. A lovely young lady that her family and society have let down. I wish her the very best xx

HER VOICE IS SO GOOD!!! Maybe when I finally start learning how to produce edm we could collab sometime! She seems like such a fun person to hang out with... loving music, kpop, food, gaming, reading. Even just sitting on the couch doing nothing or crying is great. I can't imagine how much pain she has to go through everyday although I have some skin and mental problems that are very painful and was bullied for. It's very depressing and I kinda hate going in public now cause I either get ignored or looks. Idk I just vibe with you laughing and smiling but hurting so bad. I don't care about smells, I've been around bad smells and it doesn't bother me at all. Also I feel too independent to have friends but she seems like the best person to be friends with ngl. YOU ARE AMAZING!!! I will gladly support you in any way possible! 🤟💜

Sentaces should create a KZbin/Spotify for her music. She's very talented and can definitely have a thriving singing career!

I need more content from Sentaces!! Maybe she could make some kind of social media so we could support her through that? I think that our support would surpass what her benefits would be able to supply her

She is so beautiful and has such a beautiful voice💖! Her story really showed how much pain she had and has to go through physically and mentally. I really hope she finds the support and love she deserves. Also, more people should view this, I loved the song. It really connected everything together so nicely 💖💟💕
