hello. I am a 51talk teacher for almost 3 years now. TRUE ang sabi ni Teacher. Dapat talaga tingnan ang mga REQUIREMENTS before mag apply. 51talk is the 3rd ESL Company I applied. And I do have struggles. TOTOO. Nakigamit lang ako nang pc. Dahil of course, NOT SURE na matatanggap ako kasi nga all were telling me na MAHIRAP talaga pasukin ang 51talk. So I said myself. Okay last nato. And I PASSED. For the 1st month to 1 year. Dami kong ZERO as in 0, NO STUDENT. salary ko nga 1k lng and may NEGATIVE pa kasi nga first timer. ayun PENALTIES agad. pero, di naman ako nawalan nang pag asa na sana dumami students ko. Bago pa kasi. kaya ganun. STRUGGLE IS REAL at first. may mga failures pa yung mga EQUIPMENT ko minsan. my god. super dami penalty. BUT. happy pa din. kasi until now, I"m still part of the 51talk company. kaya mga TEACHERS. PAGBUTIHAN LANG NATIN. KAYA NATIN YAN. MOREPOWER TO US and to #51talkfamily

I got hired lastonth. Actually in my experience, 51talk is very considerate. On my tech check, my laptop specs didn't past. I ask for re-scheduling and they gave me one. Fast forward to the CE Demo, I wasn't able to attend it because they are the ones who gave the sched and I'm not feeling well during that time. I asked for a rescheduling from the CET and she kindly offered her help. 🥰 I think every company has pros and cons. Yes, they are strict when it comes to the mypage, AC, etc, that's because the students are paying for a full 25-min class. We should understand that also. Hope this helps!

I personally know someone na nag apply. Nakapasa at ready na for launching. Meaning, nakapasa na sa lahat ng requirements. Launching nalang ang hinihintay nya. Pero bakit ganun, all pf a sudden biglang hindi na siya tinawagan. Ok lang sana kung sa umpisa palang hindi na siya nakapasa. Pero naka abot siya up to launching day. Grabe ung frustration nya knowing na alam nya na pasado siya. Pambabastos un sa isang applicant. Literal na pinaasa siya.

Tumawag sakin ang 51talk. They interviewed me,okay naman.but when they asked me kung may laptop ako sabi ko im willing to provide once i get hired.kasi sayang kung di ko pagkakakitaan ang bibilhin kong laptop at wired internet. Its a new monthly obligations to pay. Then they said they will only continue the interview when i have or when i already have computer at home with internet connections.so when i heard and read the one comment na bumili na sya ng gamit them hindi tumawag ung 51talk,so what makes me decide to buy computers if im not 100 percent sure that they will call me again. So its hard to risk a money to spend if they will not get you hire.

I appreciate your video. However, yung sa Acadsoc ay nagbago since 2017 mo pa naexperience yun. This is the update: 1. Yung mga nabook lang na classes ang nababayaran, same with 51Talk 2. Pag nagcancel ka ng classes sa Acadsoc, merong penalty na x3 sa per class mo, pag less than 3hrs ka naginform. So kung sahod mo ay 50, magiging 150 ang penalty mo. Pero pag 24hrs - 4 hrs ka naginform, 1 class ang penalty mo. 3. Mahirap po talaga maging new teacher, kasi hindi rin sila supportive, walang TM na laging nagrerespond. Mukhang same sila ng 51talk din. Hope it helps sa mga nagdedecide pa lang.

Kaya pala ang daming video ng tips at ganitong videos kasi nga wala silang direct support kailangan mo lang talaga is magtiyagang magresearch ng mga videos para maenhance mo kung ano ang dapat if you want to be an effective 51talk teacher. And I believe maraming ngstay kasi they love what they are doing despite sa mga naririnig natin at maraming benefits din as a teacher and as a person. I needed to cancel my classes kasi lagi error yung new AC nila. Ilang beses na nila finix ganun pa din. Bigla di dinidetect yung camera ko. Puro penaties na ngayon pero pag yung student nagcancel ng classes wlang sayo, pag absent student half lang sayo.

Totoo talaga. Sa akin naranasan ko while doing lesson bglang nawala ang internet until the last minute. Di alo gumawa ng LM tag 200 agad ang penalty. A total of 400 penalty sa 1 cut off.

so TRUE...penalty is 200 per missed lesson...not 140...they are inconsiderate even if AC crashed or wi-fi is out due to storm or brownout--in short even if it's beyond your control...penalty is still 200/missed lesson.

Teach may tatanong sana ako. Pano yun nirerequire kami na kuhain yung TESOL and TEYL certificate within 3 weeks pero gusto ko lang muna magtry ng 51talk for a month kasi working student ako. Nahihirapan ako na pumasok sa physical work ko dahil ng thesis namin kaya nagdecide ako magleave pero nag apply ako sa 51talk para may extra income ako. On my experience, I passed the interview, Ntt, Mock and final demo, nag attend din nang On boarding training, PERO DI AKO NI-LAUNCHED as Teacher. Sayang lang yung effort ko sobra. Tapos sasabihin, balik lang after a month, I mean seryoso? Maybe ngayon yung ibang evaluator, nagbi-base na on physical features ang pagiging teacher dito.

@@gizellediy 65 lessons po per cut off teacher... Tapos po ang counted lang po ay yung sa mga "peak hours" though bayad pa din daw po ang sa hindi peak hours pero hindi sila counted sa required number of lesson per cut off.

Magandang ugali po yan na minsan e filter lang natin ung dapat ika stress 😀 Let's talk about the advantages naman po sa 51 talk teacher. About po pala sa free tesol training nila. Some say po na maka training agad2 pagka hire po. Some say na after 2 years in teaching mo pa daw ma avail ung free training nila. Can you clarify po ba teacher about this? Your trainer will actually tell you to finish TESOL course training w/in 30 days after you will be launch as a new teacher...but the TESOL certificate will be given to you after 2yrs pa...so maybe it's their way para you will stay in the company for 2yrs.

Mas maganda kung may balak talaga kayo ipursue ang online teaching mas mabuti na bumili na po kayo ng headset as early as now. Godbless po.
