This is devastating to watch; as someone who grew up in Cayman in the 80’s when 7 Mile Beach was one of the best in the World! The government sell Out!

That is crazy. I remember walking the beach for hours about 10 years ago. Now it is gone!

Can you make another one now? (11/2/2021) Beings there is talks of reopening we would like to see just how bad it is still, maybe another island will get our money. So sad. Government should step up and Pay for a replenishment.

Nature takes it toll we haven't learned much from our neighbours the weather patterns are changing the sand is being washed away over the wall if you want to keep it you have to build a break water barrier

So are we saying there is no solution? How about build a sea wall and put a staircase on the other side. We can then put sand inside the wall and connect to other properties. So building a dock didn't move the beach, it was already moving with climate change. I believe it will come back. Why? All that rain we've been having had to have an effect on the ocean. It all went into the sea. We will see, pray otherwise.

I left Cayman right before the island closed. When did these high waters start? Is it still like this?
