Thank you so much for showing us all what it is looking like. I have a timeshare in Seven Mile Beach Resort and you walked right down the path I have walked a hundred times. This time it was tears of joy from seeing 'THE path' then tears of frustration seeing the beach still in shambles. Keep up the great work and keeping us all informed. Let us know if you are taking requests... would love to see some of the places we visit while on island (and maybe even some of our friends).

We have a condo rented in the Regal Beach complex in late April of 2022. I was heartbroken to see that the beach is gone !! We’ve stayed there several times over the past few years and it was spectacular. Is the erosion going to be permanent ? I’m thinking of contacting the management too see if we could arrange a stay at another property if this is continuing. No beach is no fun 😢😢😢

Hi theresia! Thanks for watching! Oh okay nice yes I know the place right next door to the Marriott, well no the beach erosion isn’t permanent, the sand has come back somewhat recently. Hopefully more keeps coming 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hopefully Mother Nature will wash all of those resorts out to sea and then she can begin to rebuild herself. IJS.

Thanks for sharing. We visited our Plantation Village condo in May/June (the next condo south of where you filmed) and the beach was almost nonexistent 😢. I hope the Cayman government can find a solution to the beach erosion 🙏😎.

Our pleasure! Oh yea? Yes me too! I think it will come back but honestly let’s see what happens! That being said, I hope the beach comes back as well as all of you guys who vacation here in cayman!

How about in front of Ritz, Villas of the Galleon, and Westin?
@theevanpyle3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Jupinder! The beach in front of those properties is still here maybe a little has gone but still big especially in front of the Westin!

Very interesting, looking from the air it looks like Sunset Cove a bit further south have put in place a breakwater that seems to be working... Doesn't look as nice as a clear beach but is there anything else that can be done, maybe a long underwater seawall but would that mess up marine life?

Thanks for doing this one Evan. I believe that first condo was South Bay Beach Club. Yeah it’s a shame. A few factors at work here. Have other areas a bit north like the Ritz or Westin lost any distance from the beach or is it mostly that one area? How are places further south like The Wharf restaurant holding up ?
@theevanpyle3 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris, it is my pleasure! Yes i think you are right! The beach erosion is mostly happening at the beginning and end of Seven Mile Beach, although I think that the beaches by the Westin and Ritz have been little impact by this, Westin beach is still huge. Location, Location, Location!

Definitely think some of these properties have been built way too close to the water. It could be climate change but I'm a bit sceptical of that. I live on the east coast of England and some of our beaches here are eroding in some areas, but in others the sand has been building up for years. Our local authorities just cleared away a load dunes. So who knows. It's a real shame if properties are in danger but this planet has been shaping itself since long before we were here, and it'll continue to do so long afterwards. Nature.

Yes I agree 100%. It is sad to see how it has affected the beach front. Let us see what is going to happen to try to bring back the beach.
