All the ice from the sea and snow from the fields disappeared about five weeks ago. Now there are leaves on the trees and everything is green. We loved Helsinki. We ate at the same Market hall and also at the Market Square from where we took a ferry to Suomenlinna . The church we loved was the Rock church, Temppelaukio. I strongly recommend seeing that. It was near our holiday apartment, near the Sibelius monument. Finnair was our carrier too . No issues. We flew SIN- HEL- ZRH roundtrip. We were there in June and left when the sun was shining at midnight, midsummer solstice.

@timomastosalo4 жыл бұрын
Salmon with rye bread and not with white bread, is likely primarily based on the fact that rye bread is just much more filling than white bread. And it has a lot of nutrients, whereas white bread has barely any nutritive value. Just a word of warning: for some people not used to rye bread it can make their stomach churn. Like some British people I've noticed. That bread so reactive material, and also quite sour, and some countries don't have that much sour dishes, so the bosy is not accustomed to the substances rye contains. It's basically just used in northern Europe, including northern Russia. But I don't know about the more southern and western Slavic countries.

Helsinki requires a couple of days to enjoy - and maybe research the attractions beforehand: they are so sprinkled you might not find them without preparation. Though the center is very compact and you can't really get lost: the city center is on a relatively small peninsula, so you'll find a coast usually in 5-10 minuntes. Also you may waste your time in travelling too long from A to B, or by not finding the place, circling on some square. Well, the usual tourist hazard on an unplanned trip.

When I was there last Megabus and its competitors were a great way to travel, never more than $15 and amazingly clean, friendly, and on time.
