I have also got the military-grade protective case from PITAKA this year. Facing the same problem as yours. I have contacted their customer service team this week, and they will have a upgraded version in Oct to solve these problems. Let wait for the new version!

Just received the "revised" version of the Pitaka, Screen lid is horrible and is not raised at all compared to the version from your review. They only changed the camera button and bottom cutoutof the phone, pretty big dealbreaker for me, they also confirmed that there will not be a larger lip for protection. Switched towards Benks armor pro and it's everything i've wanted from Pitaka.

Ive just reached out to them . another commenter stated they did change the lip and they are awaiting the new version. I sent an email to the company expressing concern. It's such a great case except for the screen lip. I don't know how the Benks feels compared to the Pitaka. I have a very small purse that I need just the right slip in texture to take in and out with ease.

Oh, I like it so much having no lip. So much more comfortable to swipe. Screen has a protector glass anyway so no problem.

Got a response from Pitaka: " Thanks for your email and I'm happy to help! Yes, that is correct, the original release batches did have the front lip issue. We did however already released the new revised version of the case that addresses the lip issue and improves on some other details of the case. If you place your order for one from now you will receive the new revised version. "

I got the Sunset version and actually like the smooth feeling of the case, but I've never bought a Pitaka case before so I don't really know what the texture used to feel like in comparison. Aside from that and the gorgeous design, I'm really disappointed with the fit on this thing. The camera control not being centered in the cutout (it's the same on my Sunset case) is something I'd expect from a $2 case from Temu, but certainly not from a $80 premium case like this. I can also confirm that adding a screen protector will make it jut out above the screen lip (or lack thereof, rather), making the phone rest solely on the screen if you put it on a surface with that side down. If they added a bigger screen lip (that can also handle a screen protector) and a capacitive cover for the camera control (like Spigen and Supcase already do on some cases, for example), I'd love this case, but it's a waste of money in its current form because that "military-grade protection" they're advertising isn't going to help you much, if at all, if the phone falls screen down.

@@MichaelsTechTalk I just heard back from PITAKA, and they're apparently going to send me the revised version for free whenever it's finished. They're currently expecting it to be ready by the 16th, meaning I'll probably get it sometime around the end of the month. They didn't mention anything about sending the old case back either, so I can probably still use that at home if I want to, since there's a significantly lower risk of me causing a fatal drop here. Really looking forward to seeing what the updated case is like!

I think the removal of textured print is an upgrade. But the rest of the case looks like a letdown. Not sure how they dropped the ball on that one.

The screen lip was the first thig that I noticed when I first got mine. I'm really hoping in the near future they can revise the case for at least some lip protection.

I bought it as well, I find it irritating that the buttons rattling like crazy, unacceptable for a $80 case.

Sadly, a lot of the metal buttons on aramid cases rattle. I think that's why Benks got rid of metal buttons on the Armor Pro this year.

Iam disappointed with the phone never mind the case I got one 16 pro max 1tb for 1k the camera cut out is horrible apple did us dirty this year I’ve give it to my girlfriend gone back to my 15 pro max Iam jumping ship to s25 ultra when out done with being ripped off with no upgrades just glad I got it for 1k off my pall I would be pissed at 1600 should be called 15 pro max s
