Disappointing reborn box opening 😬

I think her mouth is perfect. What were you expecting? Inside as red as out? Because in real life...thats not always the case. I don't know anything about these dolls....so this is coming from a novice perspective. Perhaps the expectations of ppl that deal with these dolls is that they must be "perfect" to a certain standard within the industry...instead of the dolls being a representation of real live babes...that come with varying shades and colors in the faces and mouths? I've been around a lot of real babies...and I see nothing wrong with the mouth...in fact, I thought it looked entirely "real".

I have to say this.. in the more than two years that I have been painting dolls I would NEVER not paint the inside of my dolls mouths. The eyes, brows, nose and mouth have got to be the focal point of your work! The face is the most important part of the doll in my opinion. Sorry you were disappointed.

Lovely box opening she's absolutely gorgeous maybe contact the artist and see if she will be willing to paint the inside of the mouth I've never heard of an artist not painting inside of the mouth but it might have been an accident maybe she over looked it I'm so sorry other than that she's absolutely gorgeous hopefully y'all can work something out congratulations many blessings 💜💜

Hi there. I did contact the artist and she refused to fix her. She said she intentionally made her mouth that color intentionally. I may have her sent off to another artist to be fixed at some point. I am enjoying her now. ❤

Hmm the mouth IS strange lol but very beautiful doll! I'm an artist and just wanted to say you could glue a piece of blue felt behind her mouth inside of the head. I used to do that before i got the hang of shading. It really darkens it!

So when I mentioned it to her and showed her pictures, she said that was the natural color of a child’s mouth. She did not offer to fix her. Her solution was that I could sell her. 🤷‍♀️ but she’s cute so for now, I’m keeping her and loving her no matter what. I honestly thought I was going to have to just put her on a shelf and never interact with her. Kinda dramatic 😂 after I slept on it and dressed her a few times, I feel better. I refuse to let this experience steal my joy. And trust me, I thought it would. Thankfully I am resilient and stopped being a brat 🤣

I think I would use air dry paints and do it myself and seal it with ultra Matt medium. If you are comfortable doing it. She is adorable to me

She doesn’t care about making her customer happy. This is shocking and extremely disappointing. I will never go to an artist like that. I’m so sorry she didn’t finish your baby (which clearly she hid the mouth for some reason!) then was quite disrespectful by telling you to sell her. That is not why you purchased her! You didn’t buy this sculpt and creation to just send her away! Ugh. I’m so upset. I see this was a little while ago but I’m just so emotional lately and this really hurts me for you. These treats are not cheap and they are meant to be finished and the customer should be completely pleased. I’m gonna go cry now 😂😢❤

Thank you. You’re right, I do have a right to be upset. And I was for a little bit. Now that I’ve spend some time with her, she has my heart. Overall, she is gorgeous. Do I wish the artist would make it right? Yes. But I asked and she refused. I refuse to spend time being upset over a doll. I felt my feelings and moved on. In my head I at the moment I was really feeling so upset and was like, I should just leave the hobby 😂 I can be a tad over the top when I’m upset. Glad I’ve been able to calm down and have some clarity about the situation.

I agree that artists can forget and I would absolutely understand that. When I reached out to her, she said it was the color of a the color of a babies mouth and didn’t think there was anything wrong with her. She called me a pain and I decided to just let it go. I do appreciate your prospective. Artists are human and could easily make a mistake. This is absolutely okay but in this case the artist said she was painted like that intentionally. Yea her mouth doesn't look right to me either. The inside of their mouths are supposed to blend in a lot more but because it wasnt painted the inside sticks out when looking at her. I am just a very firm believer of you should always get what you paid for and we all know babies like her aren't cheap in the slitest but other than that she is absolutely beautiful.

I'm sorry to see that. I had that happen to me where there was no painting at all inside the mouth. It just takes away from the realism factor and I don't know what would had been so hard to do. Evidently she tried to hide it with the angle of the photographs. She is beautiful otherwise and yes, may just always need a pacifier, but still a pain. Hope you still are able to bond and enjoy her.

She's a stunning doll and obviously done by a meticulous artist, but I have to agree that the mouth looks just plain unfinished. I'd have definitely been getting in touch with the artist to at least ask the question and to see if there is a compromise remedy that could be made. But in every other respect the workmanship is excellent as is the packaging and shipping.
