It worked perfectly like you said. Maybe a good 2-4 minutes of heating and it will come right out. I saw other people using rope to pull it apart and damn near killing themselves in the process. I like your method the best and works the quickest. Thanks again!

Thank you! We used hot boiling water slowly poured over the connection part, two metal poles through the holes for more leverage and pulled it apart. Worked like a charm. Used your inspiration to heat up the metal poles. Thank you!!

No need to heat it up. Put a towel or cardboard over concrete and drop the pole horizontally from 2 ft off the ground over and over.
