My eldest brother when he was but a young lad had a reputation for taking things apart 😂. Very cool to see the inside and how it all slots together. Would have been cool to see the pick locked in place. It would make good sense for sparrows to increase the pick profiles for this Jacknife. Cheers for sharing buddy, very interesting.

You know, just a little bit ago, I read in a Facebook group about a wife mentioning their husband purchased one of these for them, they mentioned about breaking a pick in the past, I believe. Was that possible you? Maybe it was just a coincidence. Thank you for stopping by and share your happy new. It really is a great pick set, Im sure you will enjoy it, and its very easy to replace any picking profiles (once Sparrows start to sell them soon)

Nice set. Wish they included a pocket clip. Looks like they have the screws for it just no clip. There are probably aftermarket clips that would fit but it would be hit or miss.

I know exactly what you mean, I have been trying to find an aftermarket one for a while now, with no luck. I'm at the point of maybe trying to make one myself. Im also still holding out hope, Sparrows will come out with one. They have also mentioned about coming out with different profiles for it as well. I guess time will tell.

Love this idea!! It would be worth a try. All the other Jackknife style sets I have seen don't use washers, so I don't see why this wouldn't work. I wanted to make my own profile but was thinking I would have to remove one, but before I do, I will try this idea first 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 thank you my friend, have a great weekend 🤜🤛

Sorry for the late reply. I have been missing around with them, but I probably wouldn't sell them. Only because I did see confirmation that Sparrow is coming out with more soon, and they can do it a lot cheaper then I ever could. Definitely keep your eyes on their website. I’m not sure. I haven’t really compared any - I just have to W one from my first set that came with the acrylic lock. I’ve just never seen one from Sparrows before that I can recall.

Very cool to see the insides. It looks like new profiles would mean swapping out existing ones rather than adding more like the Covert Companion. You may be able to fit just one more in there if you forego some spacers. It is almost a Tux set. Sad they didn't see fit to add a pocket clip. Even an inside jacket pocket, a clip would keep it from sinking down. Thanks for the "insight".

I love this Escort. The way it locks the picking profiles into place is very unique. Bit pricey though, but it was worth eating ramen noodle for the month 😆 lol As for the zoom, it seem to work best if you enlarge the video (by hitting that little square looking thing like 4 arrows pointing at each other, in the right hand corner) and then just pinching the screen (if that makes sense) I'm terrible at giving good directions, but this is the jist of it. Actually I wonder if it works for everyone? If you get a chance to try it out let me know (if you have time of course) Its been really neat to be able to zoom in close on videos, I have been using it ever since I found it out. After seeing so many $10 jack-knives, I was thinking Sparrows must be crazy to ask what they're asking for that thing. Now that you've shown me its guts, I understand better. That's a pretty schwanky design, and probably justifies the price.

It really is well made.I have no complaints so far . I justified the price by two things, 1.it's made very well, and 2. I have bought pocket knives for more in the past, and I definitely get more use with this, then just a blade for cutting something. I have put a lot of mileage on this Escort so far, and it has helded up great. Hopefully we will see replacement profiles, and new profiles shortly, from what Sparrow's says. I would say yes, in my opinion of course. I really like how it locks into place. Its very unique in that regard. Its made very well too, and It's has my two favorite colors so thats a plus lol. If I had one complaint it might be the weight. Only because it starts to get heavy when picking with it for a long period of time. That said, it is more geared for keeping in the pocket, for the off chance you need it kinda thing, and not so much using it for every day picking practice. Personally I also justified it, in the fact I have bought pocket knife for the same price (if not more) and I know I'll get just as much use out of this, as I did them. the screws you mention to have no purpose actually makes the tool level. i guess because of bad machine work or whatever

Im not sure if you're joking, but they differently have a purpose, they're the same as any pocket knife you see that has a pocket clip. They possibly decided to skip it, to speed up production.(That's totally plausible) But they're definitely screws for a pocket clip.
