Disastrous first time with Mamiya 6 Automat | Test Roll

I know this is an old thread by now, but I just want to mention in case anyone runs across this looking for Mamiya-6 info: If you've got the "Automat" version of the Mamiya-6, you should NOT need to cock the shutter manually. The automat mechanism should do that as you advance the film. (You can still cock the shutter manually via the lever on top of the shutter if you want to make multiple exposures.) If your Automat does not cock the shutter automatically, then the automat mechanism is not adjusted correctly.

i hope you could post another video on the Mamiya 6 will all the repairs on the bellows you've done, fresh film and the stuff that you've learned from you first photo-walk. i am confident that the photos you'll be capturing then would be great. (y)

i'm looking forward to it! a little suggestion on the fresh film, it would be great if you could use either kodak protra (colored film) or ilford hp5 (black and white film). these are great film stocks.

The Film used in the video is actually portra! But yah we'll consider using it again :)

look forward to another video with the light leak fixed. think you need to run 2 rolls thru it - one colours and one black and white. need to do something slow, instead of rushing to finish a roll with such camera. maybe your can show the focusing thru that range finder.

Hey Wei Teck, appreciate your comments but if we were to shoot a video where we take 3 days to complete a roll it's gonna be very time consuming and not at all sustainable in the long run for our schedules. In any case, for our test roll series we do try to keep it quick as it's mostly meant to roughly test any problems with the camera. Hope you carry on watching the channel for our new content! 😁
