So great. I notice some side walls missing from your garage? Somehow my impression was that it was closed. Remember to install the ground strap in that transaxle and the two rubber snubbers on the front beam.😉

@@CTmoog Ultra wise decision; it is so much more comfortable to tinker in, especially with the devilish summers there. Don’t forget the front rubber snubbers on the front beam and the transaxle ground strap 😉

No alignment until the body is on and the car is finished. Weight changes ride height which changes everything.

@@CTmoog Make sure to keep them away from the tires because they can get punctured by the friction. A friend of mine had that problem in one of the front ones with a narrowed beam. Those need to be measured carefully, especially the ones on the front; those you need to test out by steering all the way to the right and left to make sure they don’t hit the tires at any point.

Hey CT, well done again. The longer rubber brake lines on the back isn't a bad idea but please be aware that they could rub on the tyre as you drive along. The passenger side is very near it at the moment, so please for safety make sure they are kept away from the tyre. My friend fitted new lines to his vespa and they rubbed, and wore through, leaving him with no rear brake. The chassis is looking great though isn't it? "We're getting there!"

Thanks Julian! Yes, I'm going to fine tune the placement and replace some of the lines to make it work. Yes, the rubber lines can go bad....I'm going to keep a close eye on them. Yes the chassis is looking sweet! "We're getting there!" =)

You still have the rear axle bellows mounted wrong. The split should face fore or aft.

I had a rear disk brake conversion done on my fiberglass dune buggy. I’ve had trouble with it ever since the conversion. They put a empi 22-2914 kit on it . After some research I found out the 22-2914 is for IRS and my bug has the swing axle. Anyone know the difference of the conversion for a IRS and swing axle is.

Rotate those axle boots to 90° to the rear. No bellows in the seam. They will crack in no time. VW owners manual.

I really enjoy seeing your videos, but with all the intense work you are investing in this project, I don’t understand why you’d be willing to end up with what’s apparently going to look like a pile of rust. I saw a 65 convertible the other day that had me salivating. It looked like it just rolled out of the showroom. You may value “patina”, but I’m afraid that it just looks like crap to me, and undervalues all your effort and skill.
