Discernment: LISTEN through Scripture

When we say vocation discernment we often mean we are trying to decide, to figure out, discover God’s call for us. That call is God’s voice speaking to us in our hearts and in our experiences, and so taught by the journey, we can know his will.
To hear God’s voice in our hearts and experiences we must be able to listen: we are called to open our hearts, our thoughts, and our ears to the Word that God gives us.
Any true Christian life, any vocation, must be grounded on listening to God.
