This is why the domination of one guy is bad for disc golf or any type of golf. And tbh also why disc golf is better in the woods. Woods golf is unpredictable, and Maple Hill knows how to make a course, and then let’s the players battle it out
@Naitsirk1Ай бұрын

@@TheMarkoPollo Domination of one guy is bad??? 🤣😂 Actually it's what drives the next generation of player's, this happens in every professional sport. All the biggest names in every sport are known because they were dominant in some fashion. Woods golf is great but it's also random, I'm sure your opinion would be a little different if your lively hood were dependent on it.
@TheMarkoPolloАй бұрын
@@stitch438 no one’s going to play disc golf when there’s no money in the sport. In sports that have money there will always be competition regardless of whose winning. When one guy wins it hurts the casual fan, this isn’t about pros this is about growing the sport. And unless you’re a fan boy of that one athlete you’ll lose interest and stop paying to watch it. It’s not the hardcore fans you want, it’s the casual fans whose money you need. When you have one guy winning everything it makes people tune out and lose interest and watch a sport that has a true following, not a niche sport. Livelihood or not, the players who win move forward, those who don’t will stop and be dropped. Wait till you see what happens with Alden Harris and if he gets another contract with Discmania or gets dropped cuz he’s not winning at the level of his friends. It’s his KZbin Channel that keeps him in the know, not his win rate.

Why Proctor didn’t just jump putt to the edge of the fairway, jump putt onto the island, and then tap out for bogey and the win is beyond me. There was zero need to run the island but hey it was entertaining, and a great win for Proctor regardless!
@keyakarimian5119Ай бұрын
He was throwing his 3rd throw on that approach to the island and he was already at the edge of the fairway towards the island so not sure if he had that option to jump putt again from where he was. I'm sure that distance is more than a putt.

This is a copy of my answers to another comment: This is live video feed footage from the middle of the forest sent straight from the cameras to the control center using mobile networks, the picture will always be softer (and when mobile reception is bad = blurry picture). This is a highlight video compiled from the live DGN broadcast, it uses the original live broadcast footage. Jomez uses the original camera footage (from the same cameras) stored straight to the cameras' memory cards. Two totally different things. It’s almost like when you hold dgpt events on actual disc golf courses they make for the most exciting event. Get rid of the emporia, lake Waco, music city, and Swenson. I’m also saying that as someone who lives less than an hour from Swenson it’s such a boring course to watch. Europe is doing their courses and events right and there’s a reason why it’s so popular there and the players absolutely love the courses. The events we’ve seen on actual courses have been fantastic this year.
