Thank you for bringing awareness to the disc golf elbow pain pandemic. I too am a survivor.

I honestly didn't expect these exercises to help as much as they have. Thx

Thanks for this! Started having elbow pain a few months ago and stopped throwing forehand altogether while doing these exercises. Just started slowly throwing forehands again and I have been pain free

That's where I'm at - I guess I'll have to actually learn how to throw a backhand over the next month or two rather than sidearms only

If the pain is already occurring, is it best to stop playing? At what point should the exercises be implemented? While healing or after healing? Thanks for you helpful video!

Thank you for another helpful video. I do know someone who experiences elbow pain. Do you have a similar video for shoulder pain? I have more friends with that issue.

Glad you found it beneficial! I do have a few videos on shoulder issues. Here's one, but there are others on my channel. Search for "Simple Exercise To Strengthen Your Shoulders And Core For Disc Golf." kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmOVloSEaKhmhMk

Do you recommend doing these exercises while recovering from elbow pain, or just rest until pain is gone? Just discovered disc golf about 4 weeks ago and have played everyday since. While learning to putt, I started feeling pain in my elbow (lateral epicondylitis because I can't forehand yet 😂). I'm excited to get this healed up and strengthened so I can keep developing my game. I wish I had these exercises in high school while weight training because I went through the same issues. Thanks for the exercises!

I had a sports Medicine doctor explain to me that a lot of elbow tendinitis is related to weak bicep. And that you should strengthen biceps too. With weak bicep your most of the “weight bearing” is taken in by the forearm and transferred to the connecting tendons.

Hey Seth, have you had any success with the graston method for sidearm elbow pain?

How many reps how many times a day would you recommend? And can I begin these exercises while experiencing elbow pain if the exercises don't hurt while doing them?

If I currently have pain (golfers Elbow)now, Should I start these excises now with the pain or wait until pain is gone after taking a break from throwing and then start? Thanks

In the same boat. Did you heal from your injury?
@geoffmcmillion98033 жыл бұрын
@@pbodys16 Still have the pain. I was told by an PT to keep loading the arm even when in pain. Waiting for th pain to go away just takes the injury that much longer to heal. To answer your question. about the pain. If I do these excercises the pain subsides a bit after a few days. Once I stop the pt. the pain comes back. So I'm going to research some more. Good luck!

Have you ever seen someone have elbow pain in the non-throwing elbow?
@billc_ok5 жыл бұрын
pain in non-throwing elbow could be caused by repeatedly lowering and lifting a disc golf bag
@DiscGolfStrong4 жыл бұрын
Improper lifting of a disc golf bag could definitely be a contributing factor as Bill mentioned. I have a video for that on my channel as well! I have seen elbow and shoulder pain on the non-throwing side. Just because we are not throwing with it, doesn't keep it from getting stressed as it moves through space during the throw. If you've got pain there, definitely work on building up strength on that side as well.
