Sadly dubstep has not been mainstream since like 2014, its still popular for sure i mean just look at Lost Lands but yeah i don't think it will ever get as mainstream as it was around 2011-2013 which is quite a shame unfortunately.

@@NebulousFumes Yeah I think you're right. People don't realise that dubstep isn't just dubstep anymore. It's taking cues from so many other genres. I don't even think about genres anymore, I just say this is music. It's crazy hard being a music producer these days, you can't just stay in your lane anymore. I mean listen to Dream Logic by Virtual Riot. You can't tell me that fans of trap music, rnb, pop, etc. wouldn't like a song like that. It's not even dubstep anymore. It's just good music. Anyway I'm rambling

I know exactly what you mean! Virtual Riot is just on another planet! When I listen to his music now I close my eyes and just try actually listen as well as enjoy the music. It's kind of sad actually because I feel like Dubstep is becoming more niche and that artists like Virtual Riot aren't getting the mainstream recognition they deserve. This guy is a genius.
