thank you! The acidlines were biting in each other's tail in the mix so I moved them a bit in the panorama.

i really like how you did that, too. for me, that's the best part of the whole mix, but it's all good! nice!

This coctail rezonates with me big time! Loving the style crossover. TIP for viewers who like this, Acid Arab is doing great stuff as well. Middle east melodies, acid basslines and what not. I've tried something similar too but better not advertise my own not so great works here. ;) Is this only track you have made with this concept? Would love to hear more!
@ShimanskiBeats6 жыл бұрын
thanks a lot ! I've heard of Acid Arab and like this kind of crossovers a lot, although it's not typical for my own music. If I had more time I'd like to do more crossovers with some ethnic (arab, balkan, african) elements. Is your stuff online somewhere?
@S4V0LAEN3N6 жыл бұрын
World needs more of that! :D At least I'm going to take that route when I have learned enough theory. I made music over two decades by using just beats, vocal samples, simple riff's or hooks - but not chords, progressions or even melodies.. Eventually I grew out of that concept and got tough creative block instead. Couldn't do anymore stuff that has no musical content at all. So what comes to music theory, I have started to learn more of it but still being in the beginner level. Anyhow, here is some of that new stuff: www.soundcloud.com/tahtipultsari/ And here's those older ones: www.soundcloud.com/savojr (acid house) www.soundcloud.com/tvr (tekno) I think differencies between old and newer material can already be heard.. but change is a constant.

reminds me of goa trance, especially the slower album-closer tracks many artists like to have :) great vibe!

Dope sounds. I was thinking about buying me synthesizers but I'm a beginner. Any tips on what I should start with
@ShimanskiBeats6 жыл бұрын
thanks! Depends on how much money you want to spend, what you want to do with it. If you want to do hardware only, you'd need a sequencer and something that plays drums, too. So maybe an Electribe (synth version) could be a start. Or a collection of different Volcas and 1 more synth with good user interface such as the Minilogue or a Bass Station.

Very different to your usual style of late, but this is a very catchy number, the acid and asian vibe mix well, great stuff.

It's "Ethno Beats", there was German compilation released around 1988 under that title, a with as good music for that matter;)

good job... I'm curious what role the Waldorf is playing in this piece. My only recommendation is that the percussion would benefit from a little more depth and complexity. what instrument is doing the "oriental melodies"?
@ShimanskiBeats7 жыл бұрын
thanks very much! I assume you mean what the Waldorf Blofeld is doing? It's a very subtle supporting sequence, you can hear it at 5:26. The Waldorf Streichfett plays the oriental string melodies, the Volca FM plays the the dulcimer-like oriental melodies. As for the percussion: I ran out of tracks on the Electribe. If I ever make a studio-version out of this, there will be more complex percussion.

Oriental is totally not my thing ..... and still I find the track well. :-)
