Free advice; I went to Khaosan Rd in Dec '22 and had not been since January '15. It's changed alarmingly for the worse. It's no longer the backpacker's haunt that it once was. Bars compete with each other by playing their crap music as loud as possible. Maybe it's an age thing? But I'll never go back. It's lost its intimacy for me. I'd go there religiously for the beginning and end of any visit to Thailand since 2008, but they can jam it now😆The prices have increased 30-40% too😡
