I really miss Pogens. They were ginger cookies made into various shapes. They had a little legend displayed on the package that if you place the cookie in your palm and push your finger down in the center, you can make a wish come true if the cookie broke into 3 pieces. Of course, most of the time, it broke into 4 pieces, so I would use the largest shape, a leaf, to try to get my wish.

I miss Maurice Lennel cookies especially the chocolate and vanilla swirl pinwheels with pink sugar on the sides! They also had jelly top cookies and almondettes. Also missed are the original Stella D'Oro cookie assortment. They are made, but 1/3rd the size, less icing and the cookie with vanilla, strawberry and chocolate swirl is missing. The iced cookies have barely any icing. They are super expensive too!, 😢

Keebler's Opera Cremes. Chocolate and Vanilla wafers with 4 or 6 holes in the top, sandwiched with a lemony cream frosting. Gone forever. When Oreo introduced their Lemon line, I managed to make my own version - twist a chocolate Oreo apart, scrape off the white cream, open a lemon Oreo, and put a chocolate wafer on top. No creme came out the little holes, and the lemon wafer is a bit more tart than the Opera Creme, but in a pinch they calmed down the kid in me. And don't get me started on the Dolly Madison raspberry jelly roll cakes of the 1960s-1980s...

Does anyone remember these kinda generic brand shortbread/sugar cookies that looked like big flowers, like the kind little kids learned to draw (except the circular middle was missing)? The cookies also had sugar sprinkled on the top of each cookie. FYI: The package was clear except for the name, which could've been a store brand, but I vaguely remember them being available in different stores. I could be mistaken. The brand also made chocolate chip and oatmeal flavored ones in different shapes, but the shortbread/sugar cookies were my favorite. I live in California, so I don't know if they were nationwide. I've been looking for them everywhere off and on for a couple years and just can't remember what the brand was
