I grew up only play on mechanical Yamaha or Steinways but recently taking lesson I started playing on a 609 it really changed my mind on digitals. You can even adjust weight of the keys! I'll definitely looking to purchase one soon.

I have one. I've played lots of nice acoustics and the go609 holds up really well compared to them. It's in it's own category when it comes to digital

Hi, I've been reading through the comments and have seen that the weighed keys are adjustable?? Just wanted to confirm. And the two left pedals are programmable? Can you give an example of what you can program the pedal to do? How do the pedal's touch and feel on this keyboard compare to an actual grand piano? Or even just an acoustic one. And lastly, I'm looking at both this and the Yamaha CLP 795GP. Does the Yamaha have the same options as above with adjusting the weight of the keys and programming the two left pedals? Thank you so much in advance!!
@RivertonPianoCompany Жыл бұрын
Hi there! Thanks for watching. Yes. The keys are very adjustable. 100 levels of weighting to choose from. In addition to their normal piano functions, the left two pedals can start and stop drum rhythms, turn pages on digital sheet music, progress registrations and much more. They feel just like an acoustic piano's pedals. It's surprisingly accurate. As for the comparison between the GP609 and the CLP-795GP, there's no contest. The GP-609 offers twice the warranty, a fully modeled sound, acoustic projection speaker system, a far better bench and a more intuitive operating system. Even if the two were the same price, the 609 would be the big winner. ...but if you're in the US, you should contact us at rivertonpiano.com and ask about our special price on the GP609. It's a game changer!

Awesome! Thank you so much for the info. You think it’s a good enough piano for everyday practice at a professional level? I’m trying to find an alternative to an actual piano in an apartment space lol. And I am in the US! I’ll check it out. Thank you!!

Absolutely! This is the piano Clint Black took on tour. Yana Reznik. The Voice. American Idol. Journey. P!nk. Chris Tomlin. Lady Gaga. The list of pro players using the GP609 is a mile long. You'll love it!

Can I connect via the USB-B MIDI output to a DAW like Cubase and have the piano transmit its sounds (not just controller data!) to it a save it on the PC? Furthermore, can I control attack, release, expression, reverb, etc.?
@RivertonPianoCompany2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Jay! It sounds like you're wanting to do two different things. ...and you can do both, but not at the same time. Yes, you can connect a computer to the piano with a USB A to B cable. Yes, you can transmit the piano's actual sounds to any audio recording software and you can adjust the "reverb" by setting the piano's Ambience setting where you want it. ...but if you want to control the attack, release, expression, etc... you have to access the controller data (which you can only access via MIDI). You can't do both at the same time. Audio recording is one thing and MIDI recording is quite different. You can do both, but only one at a time. Best of luck!

@@RivertonPianoCompany Thanks for replying! So, the idea is that I would have the GP609 as an external 'hardware synth' in Cubase, then set various sliders to control different CC levels. And then insert a MIDI track with the piano as the instrument as part of an ensemble through the PC's speakers, and being able to alter the performance after the fact with those various controls. I hope this can be done. Also, do you know which driver I should use to connect to the PC? On Roland's page there's a driver for GP607, but I did not see one listed for GP609.
@RivertonPianoCompany2 жыл бұрын
My pleasure, Jay. I would assume your PC wouldn't need a special driver for either the 607 or the 609. It should just "plug and play." I've never had to install a special driver. If you have problems, let us know and we can reach out to Roland for you.

I CANNOT KNOW THE PRICE OF THIS INCREDIBLE INSTRUMENT. CAN YOU HELP ME?
@RivertonPianoCompany5 жыл бұрын
Hello, Vittorio! Thanks for your question. We get this one alot. The reason we can't give you pricing is because Roland makes different pianos in different factories all around the world. Some of them have the same model numbers, but different power supplies, accessory packages, built-in music... and wholesale costs. I could tell you the price of my piano here in the US, but it will be different where you live. Your best bet is to contact your closest Roland dealer and ask them for a price. They can give you the right price for the piano made for your region. I hope that helps!

Is it better than Yamaha CVP809GP? Thanks
@RivertonPianoCompany4 жыл бұрын
Hi, Stanley, and thank you for your question! It's a tough one to answer, though. The CVP-809GP is a digital ensemble. It contains a ton of specific features (like built-in karaoke with mic input, guide lamps, color touch screen control... and more) that are specific to that type of piano. The GP-609 is designed simply to be a grand piano alternative. It doesn't have all the buttons and features the CVP does... but it's not designed to compete with the CVP. They are two different products with two different sets of potential customers. They are both great at what they do, but it's not really a good idea to compare them. You'd be better off comparing the GP-609 with the Clavinova CLP-695GP. I hope that helps!
