The CV joints have parts' codes on the rubber section of the joint. They are HLJ75 or LJ75 or BJ75L You can search online for those repair kits.

Hello, I have a question, is the bearing at the front of the driveshaft, the same as in the rear? On my Volvo Xc90, both look the same. I would appreciate your answer.

Which bearing are you speaking of? The center carrier bearing? The parts he is replacing are the CV joints, not bearings.

You know if it’s possible to replace that center carrier bearing? Also would this be the same driveshaft design as a 07 XC70?

It is the same set up as XC70 but my carrier bearing wasn't replaceable as far as I could tell, i could be wrong. Different years have different bearings that are replaceable but I wasn't able to do mine. Hopefully this helps.

Thanks for your great video. I have some questions. What car is yours? This u joint seems to have Ref. NO. 31216175, which fits my 2004 XC90 2.5T. As far as I know, my propeller shaft has a u joint at each end. Yours has a joint at one end and the other joint is in the middle of the shaft. For mine, I've seen from somewhere that the front joint is replaceable but the rear one isn't. Is that correct?

Mine is a 2003 xc90 t6 and you are correct that the rear u joint is not serviceable, as of yet 😉. There's a chance a person could get the old one out but we'll see if I do that or not.

I did the same thing initially. There’s only 6 possible ways for it to work. I had to turn it on the bolt pattern a few times to get it aligned.

I had mine bearing housing stuck in the angle gear. Any tips on how to remove it?

If you stick a screwdriver in one of the bolt holes and pull down, it should pop it loose. Or lightly hammer the front side of the driveshaft back and that should pop it out.

Hi ProZack Excellent job showing us how to repair the pro. I saw you replace two sections. What you didn't mention is which replacement parts these are. Is there a front kit and rear kit or are they exactly the same? Thanks in advance.

There technically isn’t a kit for the middle but I took a shot at it and the same kit for the front worked in the middle.

@@ProZacksProjects thank you. That will be all. Volvo were talking £360 for the front kit, and £1680 for the whole prop. Apparently, they don't have the rear kit either.

@@ProZacksProjects i hope so. I just bought an '07 manual. My first was an '03 auto but the gearbox ceased up after 6 months of ownership. Please make sure you change the tranny fluid on these, esp autos. Just need to do the prop then timing kit and shocks all round. I wish to live long with mine. Thanks Pal, will subscribe now.

It did solve my issue and it took me around 3 hrs (very rough estimate). I had a few snags along the way but that's all fixed now.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video! With that said, I feel that you are intentionally leaving out certain things. You cut the video at points that need continuous feed, then return with a thumbs up saying that's how you do it. That is shady.
