I‘d be interested in hearing your position to arguments that claim that there can be no infinite past, like the arguments made to support the so called kalam cosmological argument.

There is no actual infinite past, just an endless series of moments without a determinate end. Hegel holds the same general view as Aristotle, i.e. a numerical infinity is not possible as a determinate thing since there is always another number after every number. The spurious past and future are meaningless and irrelevant. What alone matters is th determinate past and future of *kinds* and their consequences.

@@AntonioWolfphilosophy So, would you agree with the kalam proponents that time began to exist and was created from a realm of being that is timeless? I cannot wrap my head around the idea of an infinite set of moments without the idea of time.

@@lendrestapas2505No. Time never began, but it is not a quantitative infinity because there is no such determinate thing.
