A thing I struggle with is coming up with enough roles or channels and bots. Getting members is so difficult especially on a new account

Actually, you don't need to have channels unless they are needed. Think of things that would make you want to join a server, then add those. But keeping a server simple is not a bad thing. And remember, a server's goal shouldn't be to grow for the sake of numbers. A server's goal should be to provide a community a place to hang out. The Flock started out as a place for my friends and I to game together and then grew from there. Numbers was never the goal. So keep that in mind and it'll make your server a fun place!

Just go to the bots website and their should be a button to have the bot join your server.

What do you do with your muted role?

Use it for bots that moderate your chat. When someone says something that they shouldn't and the bot catches it, it can mute them for a specified amount of time using that role.

@@landry979 if you're talking about your server settings, just make sure you only have that turned on for mods. Or whatever role you want to have it. Then have it turned off for all the other roles.

Just a quick point: if someone can't see a channel, they can't do anything with it. If someone doesn't have the permission to manage channels, they can't manage any channels, unless specified in that channel.

When you make a channel it should say "make this channel private so only certain roles can view" click that then choose the roles you want to be able to see

how does mute work then, you have to remove their member role otherwise they can still text since the mute role is at the bottom of the list

Make sure all your mods have 2-step authentification turned on. Otherwise they won't be able to do any mod actions because their accounts aren't secure.

MY QUESTION- (And maybe I am asking in the wrong tutorial and If I am, I do apologize.) I am trying to set up a discord "network' for multiple servers already created. Basically, I commish a baseball and football league for fantasy, and I want to have BOTH of the servers on the same discord server for my convenience- only having the rightful owners have access to the rightful server. The way you describe the roles/perms is THAT how I need to separate the two, or will it simply work having two "servers" under one. If I can paint a pic.... I have at top "My Fantasy Network" with a welcome and such, and then within there, I have Football League server, and Baseball League Server. Is this the correct way, or am I to Have a Football "CATEGORY" and a Baseball Category for this to be controlled?
