How do you reach that Town from Vientiane Mate? What's the Name of the Town btw?

From Vientiane it is best to take a sleeper bus or airplane to Pakse. From Pakse you can get a minivan with any tourist agency or at your accommodation to bring you to the port close to Don Det or Don Khone, a short boat ride of 15 minutes will bring you fro the port to any of these islands. Our island was Don Khone, less touristy and very peaceful. Definitely worth checking out! 😉
