This video was extremely helpful and informative. However, I would like to suggest adding a note at the beginning about unlocking the printhead. Initially, I was unsure how to do this, as it wasn't mentioned in the video. The person in the video moves the gear to unlock the printhead, which might not be immediately clear to all viewers. Aside from that, this is an exceptionally well-done video. Thank you!

Not sure why they designed the dampers the way they did Instead of having a spike on the manifold. I tried charging by pulling through the waste like I do on the l1800. Still not getting all colors. I feel like I'm vapor locked in some channels.

Yes, you need EPSON adjustment program. Each printhead have a unique sequence number, is very important.

Hey, thanks so much for subscribing and supporting the channel! Every subscriber means a lot - I’m working hard to reach 100k, and after 8 years, I’m about halfway there. Your engagement keeps me motivated to keep making helpful videos and answering questions like this. For priming your cartridges, the best way to start is by parking the printhead on the capping station. Turn the printer on and let the printhead naturally settle on the station - it’s safe to do this with the power on. Since DTF ink is thicker than standard ink, the printhead may need a little extra push to get going. After the printhead is parked, connect a syringe with a tube to the printer’s waste line and slowly draw 2 ml of air. Start by drawing 1.5 ml; at that point, you should feel light resistance. If you’re only pulling air, it could mean the printhead isn’t properly parked or there’s a leak in the capping station’s seal. If you can’t draw anything at all, it’s possible the capping station is clogged, which will need to be fixed before the printhead can be primed. If everything feels right, continue to slowly draw until you reach the full 2 ml mark and hold it for 10 seconds. This should help pull ink through the nozzles. After that, run the printer’s regular cleaning cycle, but avoid running any strong cleanings for at least 12 hours. Also, try not to do back-to-back cleanings - give the printer some time to rest in between. If you need more detailed help or the issue persists, feel free to email me directly at [e-mail]. Dont do this. Youll get ink all over the motherboard once that ink drips down the printhead. The better way is to remove the ink lines wile the printhead is locked on the capping station. Then suck the ink out the waste line. If you have a vacuum pump setup they will work faster. Once you have the ink out the cartridge. Then remove them. Youll have almost no ink to spill. P.s.leave the spring and clamp the ink lines so the ink wont run out. You can remove the rest as 1 piece.

If your printhead is not waterproofed, it is crucial to extract the ink from the "damper" before removing it. You can use the "flushing syringe" tool to suck ink out. I won't suck the capping station because I don't like the direction of the ink flow. If the printhead is waterproofed, I will remove the damper without further work. While the ink typically doesn't penetrate as far as the mainboard, some cleanup is necessary.

@@BCHTechnologiesI’ve recently removed the 8550 print head to remove a stuck piece of paper. No more paper jam on reassembly, but I think I reinstalled (now) empty dampers. Would this explain why my prints are empty? If so how do I refill them to regain my printing?
