I travel with a personal item only but normally end up putting some stuff on my hubby’s bag because I always bring more clothes than I need and I notice you only bring one pair of shoes. I bring 3! 🙈 I need sandals to go out at night, sneakers wear them in the flight, and flip flops.. I can’t be without flip flops at home 😅

I just got my Take Off Luggage 2.0 and cannot wait to travel with it next month! By the way, not sure if you know this but you can get Spirit and Frontier flights even cheaper than that. Buy the tickets at the airport's desk. Both Frontier and Spirit include a fee for booking online (or by phone in the case of Spirit). Frontier calls it "Carrier Interface Charge" and its up to $23 per passenger, per flight segment (Non-Refundable). Spirit calls it "Passenger Usage Fee" and its between $8.99 and $20.99 per way. I tested this last week. My friend bought his tickets online before inviting me to this coming trip. Then I asked him to drive around the airport in my car while I bought my tickets; I was out in about 5 minutes. I bought roundtrip from Windsor Locks, CT to Orlando, Florida with Frontier for $41.96! If you have an airport nearby with Spirit and/or Frontier, TAKE ADVANTAGE!

My daughter and I just recently traveled to Florida on Frontier; we were able to bypass the luggage fee by using really small backpacks and layering our clothes. I googled luggage for our next trip and came across takeoff luggage, that's what we're doing for our next trip

Yep! So the aisle and window seats are skinnier under the seat, so I put it long ways, but the middle seat has a wider section, so it went in horizontal.

I love ur video and glad this bag works for u! I found i got much more into the underseat pro rolling briefcase. On spirit now. There are straps inside to compress and it was much less jenga . I LOVED my takeoff luggage in theory and the aesthetic but the underseat pro roller was much more functional. Imo. Love ur videos

Another great video! 👌 I’ve been looking for new carry on luggage for a while now and stumbled across your channel and have literally been bingeing all of your videos. I work for an airline so I travel at least once every month. And I’m pretty sold on the Beis carry on with the convertible mini weekender after watching all your videos but this is a good option for budget airlines, so might have to snag one for that reason once they come back in stock. What do you think about Solgaard? I feel like it would get too top heavy and tip over… but 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’d be curious to know your thoughts on it. Take care and safe travels. ✌️

Hey Melissa! Thank you 🙏🏽 Beis isnt my first choice when it comes to a luggage combination, but if you’re just traveling domestically, it’s okay. The mini weekender is not my idea of a good personal item, I love it for more of an overnight somewhere or a road trip situation. And girl, don’t even get me STARTED on Solgaard carry on closets. It can only fit like 12 items of clothing and it takes up the entire suitcase. I so badly want to buy it just to make a video on what a dumb invention it is :)

I’m contemplating buying the Marino wool bras, I already use very lightweight bras that I love that fold up smallish. I can roll them. I always hear you only wear one. I feel like I need a black and a tan color bra. Do you bring black or tan, and it goes with everything? I’m thinking you probably bring a tan bra, and wear that even with black? Hmm. And how many days can you get without washing? Easy enough to wash on the road. Do you buy Marino wool undies for travel too? I usually use a lightweight material that washes well. And just wash them overnight.

I have the branwyn ones in black and tan. On my latest trip, I opted for tan, only because it makes the most sense under most shirts. I can always pack two, they don't take up that much space. My tan one lasted me my entire trip of 2.5 weeks that I just got back from. Personally, I havent found merino wool undies that I love. I tend to wear some seamless ones from Aerie that are small to pack, and easy to wash if needed. I brought 7 pairs on my last trip, and washed halfway through, since I was gone for 16 days.

I just bring the universal one for every country, I’ve never had an issue. But if I need to plug something in like a hair tool, I just make sure it’s dual voltage.

I am currently in the planning phase of this now.... however, what makes logistics difficult is that it will be a semi-working trip (will need pc and travel monitor), and cant figure out the best bag to bring for everything... any hints/suggestions?

Hey Audrey, I’m not sure how big your pc and travel monitor are, or what airline you are flying, but that will definitely matter when it comes to choosing your baggage. Any essential items for work need to be in a personal item, so that they aren’t checked for any reason! If you let me know sizes of the items, I can try to help more! For example, if your computer is 13-14”, that’s easy. If it’s 15-17, that can be harder.

@@ItsTheKellys flying Frontier to Orlando. pc and monitor are each 15" with only the power cord and a USB C cord for the monitor are the only essential items needed for work. t-shirts/tanks, bathing suits and shorts/leggings are all that is needed.

I’m definitely going to warn you about frontier. I’m actually going to do a video about this soon. Even though their dimensions are 18 x 14 x 8, they have started making up their own rules about “how” it fits in the sizer, not “if” it fits in the sizer. People often time have to pay $100 at the gate because the handle of their bag didn’t “drop” into the bin, and hung out. They have gotten ridiculous, and even people who have flown them for years wit the same bag have now been starting to get charged. So, as much as I want to save people money, if I were flying Frontier, I would honestly just buy a small carry on or carry on size backpack and not risk it.

Unfortunately it's too big to be used for a personal bag for the two ultra low cost companies that we have here in Canada (Flair and Linx). Their dimensions for personal item is 6*13* 17 inches.

Our youngest became obsessed with Cleveland, Ohio in 3rd grade so I planned a trip, then the pandemic shutdown happened. 1.5 years later on a tight timeline, we got in the car, drove 7.5 hours to Cleveland, hit various great sites, awoke the next morning and did the same, then hopped in the car to return home. Too much out there to see, and even on a tight schedule, it is so worth it, isn't it? You definitely win for such a great rate to FL, woo hoo!
